37 Fore St, OkehamptonI recently dined at ma'ida and had a delightful experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions.
The menu offered a wide variety of traditional Indian dishes. I tried the honey chicken tikia , which was rich in flavor and perfectly spiced. The mi'ida sizzler special was equally impressive, showcasing fresh ingredients and authentic recipes. The naan was soft and paired well with the curries.
The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring our drinks were always filled.
I left mi'ida feeling satisfied and eager to return. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or new to it, this restaurant is worth a visit

22 West St, OkehamptonJust had a first roast dinner delivery from The Copper Key in North Tawton. Amazing value for money and an absolutely banging roast!. Will definitely be ordering again!!! Xx I understand that The London Inn now own The Copper Key, hence the review on here.

OFC pizza time
35 Fore St, OkehamptonFood was absolutely fine, shish kebab was nice (chilli sauce pretty weak spice wise but tasted good) burger good, fries a bit salty and wasn't asked if I wanted seasoning, would've preferred plain. Have knocked a star off as I pre-ordered for collection but it wasn't started till after I arrived after the collection time given. not really necessary as it wasn't busy and I ordered 15 minutes after opening. They plainly don't check. However would use again no problem ?

Rajpoot Indian/ Bangladeshi Restaurant And Takeaway.
Bridge House, 25 Fore St, OkehamptonMyself & 4 others had a takeaway from Rajpoot. It was absolutely delicious! We had various dishes & will definitely be returning again. Would highly recommend 5⭐

9 West St, OkehamptonFirst time going here amazed to walk in and see that they sell 18inch pizzas treated mother for tea Donna kebab and chips it was lovely only complaint is having to buy coleslaw separate but pizza deals 7 days a week buy 1get 1 half price I will definitely be returning when passing by

Prewley Hub, OkehamptonBrilliant little pizza cafe and bike shop perfectly placed for a stop off on a long journey to grab some food. Staff are great, pizzas are excellent and it does good coffee and has a small selection of good quality draught ciders and beers. Bottled beverages also available, both alcoholic and soft drinks. Great cakes and cookies too. Only not giving it 5 stars for atmosphere because well, it's mostly a bike shop.

Molland, South MoltonWe have just had the most superb Sunday lunch at the cosy London Inn, Molland. Everything was great, the staff were welcoming and attentive, the beer and wine plentiful and tasty, and the food was absolutely smashing.

Crediton Rd, OkehamptonEnjoyed a great Carvery today at this fabulous property in Okehampton..We were recommended by friends who live in the area, and we were all really impressed. Wide selection of roasted meats and a great choice of vegetables...Followed by various tasty desserts, including trifle..which is always a favourite of ours! Top job by all the team!

Exeter Rd, Whiddon Down, OkehamptonGreat breakfast en route back home. I had smoked trout and poached eggs (goooood eggies!) and my husband a full hog breakfast. All served very promptly.
All very dog friendly with water bowls and treats available. Possibly the friendliest staff I've ever met ?

Museum Courtyard, 3 West St, OkehamptonReally good decent cream teas, we shared one between us with the bit of cake for a tenner. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Sat outside in the sun with tea and cream teas. What could be more British.

Warning, do not think of using their carpark unless you are going into the pub. You need to register your vehicle on the screen inside the pub or you will get a £100 fine (ANPR cameras on site with many warning signs)

1 Kempley Rd, OkehamptonStopped in here after a day out on the moor and had cod and chips. The best I can remember having in a long time. Staff were lovely and welcoming and even in the short time I was waiting there were a couple of regulars which always a good sign. Fish was cooked fresh there and then was superb. Chips were excellent - great chip shop chips and not too soggy. And wall wrapped in paper the way it should be.

The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Moorside, Lydford Nr, OkehamptonWe spent NYE at the Dartmoor Inn last night, hosted by Tess and the wonderful team with the most amazingly, delicious 6 course menu kicked off with a welcome glass of fizz and finished with party poppers around the fire at midnight! Exeter Rd, Whiddon Down, OkehamptonVisited with my boys and my Mum when holidaying at a nearby caravan park, and immediately met with a warm welcome from Fin the gorgeous German shepherd (Finlay when he’s in trouble!) and his owner. All the staff were friendly and the home cooked food was delicious. Definitely recommend this place!

Good selection of real ales and non alcoholic drinks
Small car park on frontage but street parking opposite and in free car park just a few hundred yards away over the bridge.
Whilst here take a stroll and visit the church alongside the pub and the local park - ask pub for details - really lovely place all round

The Green Dragon Inn
Miltown Ln, Northlew, OkehamptonWhat a gem if you don't like this pub then perhaps you should stay at home. The food is outstanding, the staff are top notch and a great value for money. The surroundings are what you would expect from a country pub. The land lord and landlady are perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble.
5 stars plus.

Good choice of cakes, coffee and walnut & rich fruit cake were gorgeous. We will be back to work our way through the other choices and a scone or 2.
Lovely peaceful friendly atmosphere with chatty locals and warm log burner.
And the views across the Taw valley..... stunning.

Belstone, OkehamptonOpens from midday and serves a fine selection of typical pub food from burgers, pies and fish & chips. Beautiful setting just on the edge of the wild northern moor and has a beer garden on the green which catches and midday and afternoon sun!

Let's Toast Coffeehouse
2 Market St, OkehamptonOne of the best cafes in Okehampton! Staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic. My friend and I popped in on Thursday morning, and we were able to get a pot of proper loose leaf Redbush tea (her favourite) and the best ham and cheese croissant she's ever had. I had the loaded banana bread and it's honestly one of the best things I have ever ordered. Our only complaint was our food run out too quickly ? we will definitely be back!
