Chippee!
156 High St, HonitonNever had much of an opinion when first used the Chippee! But over the years it has grown on me alot. The fish is well cooked, creamy and not dry. The chips are soft and fluffy inside, yet crisp on the outside. Actual mushy peas not marrowfat The staff are so welcoming and accommodating. Ensuring you get the correct food and portion size.They even had deep fried Creme Eggs at Easter......no I wasn't that brave lol. Great place please support them!!

I’m going to the takeaway. I work in five minutes already a pizza so anyway, everybody coming that is Taykaway Absolutely best.?♥️

Happened by this place on our way down to Cornwall because we needed refreshments. The Barkeeper was welcoming and friendly and advised us to sit in the beer garden, which we gratefully did as it was a beautiful sunny day. We decided to order the minted lamb burger to fill us up for the rest of the journey and OMG it was the best burger I have ever had. Beautifully presented and just enough to fill us up without being overfull.

Tv, tea/coffee facilties etc. Good wifiFree car parking......virtually unheard of with the chain hotelsBreakfast was included for me. Breakfast times a bit limited (8-9am) but the owner did allow me to get something at 730. Breakfast menu picture attached.No evening food, but local pub a 10 minute walkWould stay again!!

Vegetarian options: The veggie breakfast muffin is my favourite thing in the whole world!! Super delicious! it is the sort of dish where you simultaneously want to savour every bite and gobble it down as quickly as possible.
Parking: I always find free street parking nearby
Kid-friendliness: They are excellent with kids, so kind and relaxed and my son loves the build your own breakfast option.

147 High St, HonitonJust had a meal from here probably the best Chinese meal we had in a long time. Think this was worth a mention I always look at reviews especially when away on holiday all reviews were good and lived up to the 4&5 stars given.
I may move here just for the Chinese takeaway lol.

44 High St, HonitonThis is the best Chinese restaurant and takeaway in Honiton and the surrounding area. The food is absolutely delicious, it’s always ready to collect on time and the ingredients are excellent - chicken like you’d cook at home none of this nonsense stuff some of them serve up. We will also never forget when the owner fed us for free once a week through the COVID pandemic - like he did for all local NHS staff. He didn’t have to do that, nobody else did, but it meant so much and shows what a community minded individual the owner is. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. 5 stars every time.

Broadhembury, HonitonWe had an amazing meal at the Drewe Arms last night. Food was excellent (grilled plaice in a butter sauce with spring vegetables which was really delicious, followed by a wonderful chocolate mousse). The service was extremely good … efficient without being intrusive. The atmosphere is really good and there’s plenty of parking. Highly recommend!

9 Black Lion Ct, HonitonWe visited Honiton today to do some errands and decided to have lunch in Zest for the 1st time to be truthful Wetherspoons kitchen was closed so we plumped for Zest and what a good decision I had the chicken curry with rice and poppadom and my husband had the steak and kidney pie with mash and veg both were delicious home cooked and so tasty we will definitely be revisiting. The staff and owner were very friendly. The cafe looked very trendy and clean and it looked like a popular place. Thank you.

What a great find, food was amazing, we sat outside as not dog friendly, but was a lovely day so it wasn’t a problem.

They also have jams chutneys and little treats for the soul. Excellent cappuccino plus it was hot so I couldn’t resist their juicy spongy apple cake. Thank you very much for an excellent rest. Back on the road we go

30 New St, HonitonBlink and you would miss it as it is an entrance at one end and leave by the other entrance. I am disabled and use a scooter and the server came out, took and fulfilled my order, which was very kind of her. It is a takeaway premises. I use it at lunchtimes mainly my meal was of a good quality and the chips are hot and plentiful.

2 Vine Passage, HonitonWe visited the Vine last weekend for a family afternoon tea. It was absolutely delicious. The sandwiches were very fresh and a great variety of different fillings. The scones were lovely and a great choice of delicious cakes and chocolate mousse. Plenty of tea and coffee available. The service was brilliant, we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. I really do recommend this beautiful traditional pub with the lovely tea room . We will definitely be going again .

1-3, Dolphin Court, High St, HonitonMe and my mum visited Honiton on the way to cornwall today. We walked up the high street and this little shop caught our eyes. I am a lover for sea and ocean themed things. We also realised there is a coffee shop attached. The food was wonderful and not expensive. We also brought some things in the shop. The staff were amazing and spoke to us about their likes too. Would 100% go back again.
