Fabulous!!! Food served very soon after arrival, which was excellent. The staff were very smiley and helpful throughout and nothing was too much trouble. It was all wonderful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and would certainly go again. By the way - we aren’t easy to please!! Thank you!

Bradworthy Inn

Went for a meal. Very friendly staff. Excellent food. As they packed in the main bar we were taken to the function room. Just the four of us and a member of staff . Well worth a revisit when we are down in the area again

Old Market Inn

What a great experience. We booked a table for 2 for my birthday. The team were welcoming and after a nice drink at the bar (Old Mout on tap!) we were shown to our table. The tables for 2 are a decent size with plenty of space around so you don’t feel like you’re being overlooked or listened to.

The food was amazing, hunters chicken and cheesy mash was perfect for me and my husband loved his burger. The sticky toffee pudding was unbelievable and perfect sized portions.

The service was spot on and nothing was too much trouble.

We enjoyed a few drinks after in the bar, with a nice selection of gins to try it definitely finished my birthday off nicely.

We will definitely be going back, they really are an asset to Holsworthy.

Wessex Pantry Ltd

Purchased a selection of savoury pies from Wessex pantry.
They are excellent. The best I have ever ordered.
Pork pies superb and they even vacuum pack these so they can be frozen without damaging the pastry.
If you like black pudding, their pork and black pudding pies are just great.
Their pies for cooking are full of beautifully flavoured meat and veg.

So much has been sacrificed in the modern rush for profit that it was nice to find this good old traditional coffee shop. By traditional I mean a friendly welcome, very good coffee and tea and some lovely cakes. I sampled a Persian flapjack which was very tasty while other customers were tucking in to meals they seemed to be enjoying. The atmosphere of the place is another plus, so relaxing that you actually feel refreshed when you leave, while prices were very competitive. I just wish we had a coffee lounge like Filter Through where I come from. Well worth a visit.

Super nice place, prompt service, and the food was great. Clean tables and seating, The ribs are great value and the drinks were well priced as well. Came here for the first meal of the holiday and will probably be back before we leave

Lovely chinese! We had chips, special fried rice, chicken chow mein (was a bit odd with mushrooms in), bbq ribs, spring rolls, chicken balls, sweet and sour and bbq sauce. only complaint is that the bbq sauce was definitely not bbq flavoured at all but still nice. And would’ve preferred paying with card but couldn’t!
