The owner was to the point, funny and caring. The music lifted and made me want to dance in between housefuls. I was also given a special gift to remember it by. A little gem of a place. 36 Exeter Rd, ExeterWe ordered curry and sides for 50 people the night before our wedding and were amazed at fantastic the food and portions were huge! Everything came neatly packaged and it was so much food we are still working our way through the leftovers from the freezer. We always order from Indian Ocean because their food is consistently delicious, we have never had a complaint in over 15 years as customers. The team are friendly and we are so grateful they were able to cater for our wedding on short notice. Highly recommend, best Indian in Exmouth!

11 Imperial Rd, ExmouthFood is delicious, with large portions. Went there twice whilst staying in Exmouth. Staff are friendly. Would have given full stars, but they got our order wrong both times. Not totally wrong, but both times, we asked for 2 jumbo battered sausage and chips (amongst other things) and received 2 UNbattered sausages and chips. The second time, we emphasised the 'BATTERED' and received 1 jumbo battered sausage and chips X 2. Like I said, it wasn't a major problem, but just check that the staff have understood. Was delicious. The fish was HUGE!!!.

17-19 Parade, ExmouthI’m from Bristol but work away in Exeter/exmouth areas. Came here for lunch by myself, without a booking, on 4/1/25 and was seated straight away. Nice atmosphere. Not too busy at the time either but plenty of customers. The staff were friendly. I had chicken Mexicana, calamari and the chilli cheese bites. All were absolutely lovely, the flavour and spice from the sauce in chicken mexicana was so good. And it was very reasonably priced. I’ll definitely be coming back here next time I’m in the area.

Michael Caines Restaurant at Lympstone Manor
Courtlands House, Courtlands Ln, ExmouthWe went for afternoon tea, and despite me being unwell and dozy, it was the most wonderful and memorable experience. The staff could not have been more attentive and kind, the tea was wonderful. Due to my health problems, I ordered coffee by mistake, they changed it with no problem, but were concerned that it was their mistake. The cakes were sublime, I've eaten at top hotels over the years, but these were unforgettable. So delicate, light and perfectly balanced flavours. The sandwiches and scones were equally exceptional. Just a word of advice, ensuring your booking with a credit card doesn't mean you've paid, you have to pay on the day unless you want to look like an amateur crook, as I did!! And the views are glorious! I can't wait for my next birthday!

Pier Head, ExmouthAlways great to eat at Rockfish Exmouth. This time they have gone above and beyond in looking after our pup. When Bertie visited in February he mislaid his antler! ( for non doggy people, antlers keep dogs occupied under the table). Rockfish could t find it so bought him a new one. Our next visit was delayed and we didn’t make it till today when Bertie had his gift and we enjoyed a delicious and very filling lunch. Bertie won’t walk past Rockfish and always insists on visiting. Thank you for looking after us and the pup so well.

13 High St, ExmouthDidn't eat. Had drinks of beer and wine listening to The Laurie Ward duo from 5 to 7pm, which was great. A lovely atmosphere too.
Bar service was fast and friendly. No real ale, but the kegged Otter Amber was acceptable and tha Sauv blanc okay. Seemed a pleasant, well managed pub, so we'll be back to try the food.

The Esplanade, ExmouthAmazing how much they've been able to pack into a small space. Great service and excellent food and drinks. We've visited three times now and still working through the menu, distracted just a bit by the regularly changing specials.
Highly recommended are the pizzas which are thin crust, well cooked and have well selected toppings options. Fish dishes are fresh and tasty - especially the seafood tagliatelle.

I had onion bhajis as starter for main I had lamb tava and pilau rice which was absolutely delicious and l couldn’t eat it all so I took it home to eat another day. Beautiful views and gardens and easy to stroll to the beach. Kids really enjoyed the pool. Very family friendly, clean and lovely staff. Highly recommend.

The Esplanade, ExmouthStayed over for one night and have to say that the location is absolutely perfect. All of the staff were came across were really very helpful. We went out somewhere for dinner but came back for a couple of drinks and my wife enjoyed the cocktails.
In the morning we opted for the breakfast rather than venture out, there are cheaper options in the area but the food was very well cooked and being all you can eat we felt it was worth it.

Real bacon real taste. In fact most of the products are pretty good. I did try the spicy chicken pepperoni bake - a bit disappointing, bang on with flavour which was nice, but the filling had the consistency of baby food with a couple of slices of pepperoni in. Chicken that you could see and chew would make it better.

We all really enjoyed feeding the animals on the train safari and finished off with a cream tea. All the staff were amazing and couldn’t have done more. I asked for extra chillies and we got loads!Food was hot, ready in time, well priced and very fresh and tasty, you could tell the salad hadn't been hanging around for ages.We will be back, thank you.

Greenfingers Garden Centre, Pound Ln, ExmouthWhat a hidden gem!!! Tucked away in Greenfingers garden centre, this is a well-kept secret! I had a soup of the day; gorgeous homemade tomato and basil, with nice granary bread and a pot of butter. The devil’s in the detail, the bowl was warmed, so my soup stayed warm, giving me chance to savour the flavours and enjoy the surroundings. The cappuccino was a good size and full of flavour. A great find - I’m looking forward to returning, so that I can sample their all day breakfast on a Sunday.

4 High St, ExmouthGood food, paella, tagine, slow roast lamb, chicken or short rib with veg. All very generous portions. Table a bit squished in. Our advice is to refuse a table in the back, unless you like a constant stream of meals pushing past your table and a good view of cutlery being washed.

Esplanade, ExmouthGrandson had fabulous time here. Basic refreshments available, toilets on site. Plenty of seating to watch kids playing. Staff very friendly, accommodating. Parking nearby.
