Restaurants in Buckfastleigh

Riverford Field Kitchen - Organic Restaurant
Wash Farm, BuckfastleighWe had an excellent meal with great service. Unfortunately, for me, the acoustics in the building ruined it. Such a shame. At first I thought I was going to have to leave, but once the food came it was somewhat quieter but still noisy.

Furzeleigh Mill
Ashburton, Ashburton Road, BuckfastleighAnother overnight stop to break our journey that became a very enjoyable surprise. Room was as required in particular the walk in shower.
However it was the food that scored and my wife scored the Hot King Prawn starter as the best of all and would happily take it as a main.
Hight standards and a friendly atmosphere. Hopefully we will be back.
Rooms: Comfortable and does the job.

Dartbridge Inn Buckfastleigh
Totnes Rd, BuckfastleighFood and drinks: Visited recently for lunch, which was, as usual, excellent. The staff are friendly, the service quick and efficient, and the menu varied and well priced. However, on this occasion, the portions were on the small size, hence 4 stars.

The Kings Arms
15 Fore St, BuckfastleighVisited to watch the 6 nations, well placed projector screen, sound on, locals there to get involved and build an atmosphere. There was a good selection of beers & ales and an open fire in the bar made it feel warm and pleasantly lively. . Also has pool and darts in a 2nd bar room.

Fu Lin
72 Fore St, BuckfastleighFirst impression - someone here actually cares about the food. It is not packed full of grease, sugar and MSG. Whoever made the decision to cook the food clean, you have my respect. Of course its an uphill battle to make it taste like your classic Chinese without a ton of chemicals but this place did a very good job. The food was fresh, delicious, I found soooo many different vegetables in my dish, the portions are generous. My only little bit of feedback is, the food screams for some more ginger, or coriander, or lemon zest, or aniseed, just something to make it fragrant and punchy. Thank you!
