The environment was welcoming. The service was impeccable. This is the only place we'll ever make a second visit to.

The bath was huge and the quality of the toiletries was a lovely treat. Totnes Rd, BuckfastleighStopped this afternoon as an afterthought as we were running late to catch the steak strain from Buckfastleigh. Absolutely delighted that we did, warm welcome from the young chap behind the bar who kindly found a high chair for my son, and a delightful waitress who gave my son a child’s menu, and kept him entertained while we waited for food (not a long wait). My mother and I both had sandwiches which were lovely, and my son had the child’s fish and chips- I successfully managed to steal a bit of his lunch with my hand intact (rare as he decidedly DOES NOT share food) and I’ve got to say that it was one of the nicest pieces of fish I’ve had in a very long time! Exceptionally good value at £5.99.A genuine warm welcome, a cracking lunch, a large selection of beer and it didn’t break the bank. Easy parking and access and less than 2 minutes off the A38.Thanks again guys,Jon, Sally and Billy.

15 Fore St, BuckfastleighVisited to watch the 6 nations, well placed projector screen, sound on, locals there to get involved and build an atmosphere. There was a good selection of beers & ales and an open fire in the bar made it feel warm and pleasantly lively. . Also has pool and darts in a 2nd bar room.

33 Chapel St, BuckfastleighMy favorite take away place in Buckfastleigh. Best mint chicken kabobs and hot wings ever. A top family favorite. Cozy, friendly place that remembers how you like it. "Gimme the usual" spoken here! I go every week at request of my wife or kids. I don't call ahead and my dinner never takes more than 15 minutes to take away. If they ever leave I will move!

Abbey, Buckfast, BuckfastleighBeautiful roast here today - worth every minute of the 4+ hour round trip. Meat always beautifully cooked, great selection of vegetables. Staff ALWAYS wonderful. Love how allergens are advertised on all the signs etc so you don't need to feel like you're making a fuss by asking - or just avoid all foods that 'may' contain something because you don't want to make that fuss. Only grumble is the distance from home otherwise we would be here every week

Birdie's Kitchen at the South Devon Railway
Birdie's Kitchen, BuckfastleighStaff was very polite. Lovely atmosphere. Myself & the misses both went for the cooked all day breakfast and was very impressed. Delicious food. Would highly recommend ? will be planning our next trip soon!
