The Red Lion
Main St, Hollington, AshbourneWe use the Red Lion as a family treat when we really fancy delicious ? 'Pie n mash' ....
They menu does have a wider range of options for those who arent Pie fans !
However its their amazing range of really tastey 'Pies', 'mashes' 'gravys' & accompanying veg / sides we go for.
Wide variety to choose from, including more than one Vegitarian & one Vegan choice for Pies ?
We tend to go midweek when it's less busy due to our families needs.
Always friendly atmosphere & great service.
Wheelchair accessibility: My elderly mother has Alzheimer's & uses mobility aids ( Zimmerframe or wheelchair )
The pub has two levels. Main lower floor , where the bar, some tables & eating areas are plus the disabled toilet facilities .
A single step separates an upper eating area section. There are good rails for assistance for those that can manage . If I need to I can just about get the wheelchair up the step backwards without tipping my mother out ... ?
Their are some tables on the lower floor , best to book & request these if a step cannot be accommodated
Staff are always very helpful & ? accommodating.
