Lived in the area for a few years. Can't believe it hadn't heard of this place. Quintessential English pub. Humming and busy. Staff were helpful and attentive without being overbearing.
Dinner was creamy cooked and tasty. The salt cod and chorizo fish cakes were incredible. Garlic mushrooms on toast was great. Mushrooms not overcooked. But strong garlic taste. The Beef Wellington was perfect. The liver and bacon was great.
Why then only 4 stars for food? The creamy leek side was rather watery and disappointing when compared to the Wellington. And the chips were a little soft. Cooked well. But soft. Maybe 3 times cooked chips would be better.
But that's my personal taste. Will definitely revisit.
Recommend you do too. But make sure you book. You'll need to.

Kid-friendliness: I'm a Childminder and they always welcome me and our gang, they have high chairs and child cutlery etc

View, High Grounds Road Ryton, WorksopGreat atmosphere, the member of staff that served us at our table was second to none, nothing was too much trouble. Charlotte was very polite and professional at all times. The bar staff were also very polite and welcoming towards us. I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely stay here again.

PIZZA TİME
3 Station Rd, Whitwell, Worksoporder there meal deal of pizza, burger meal and garlic bread and went to collect it cos we only live round corner. Excellent value and very quick to cook everything. I live their chips, reminds me of the old Dolphin takeaway in Creswell. Wi definitely order again. Thank you guys xxx

Creswell Fish Bar
70 Elmton Rd, Creswell, WorksopBaz is spot on and so be his staff. He takes pride in his work and food that he prepares. Daily fresh fish is battered to perfection and chips cooked likewise. Never have I had such a beautiful battered haddock! Well done.

The breakfast menu is extensive and the carvery is wonderful and very popular so I'd advise booking . Very good value for money and convenient for everything. 5 stars from me

Unit 3 Spinella Road, WorksopI've dined from here a few times now after work and I have never had a bad experience.
The food is always piping hot, the staff are always polite and the service is always fast.
I do not understand the other negative reviews as personally this Burger King is better than most I've visited.

KFC Worksop - High Grounds Road
High Grounds Rd, WorksopExcellent staff at this branch, came through drive through and asked for 10 minis, with chips and a bottle of drink.
The server was quick and got me to the payment window before I had chance to properly stop XD.
At the window they were friendly and speedy, we were out before we knew it and the food was amazing. Will be coming back!
