The Packhorse Inn
Main St, Little Longstone, BakewellWe went for Sunday lunch on 13th October. The staff were good, but quite a few items unavailable, even the coffee! The food wasn't as good as I'd been led to believe but the quantity of beef - which was excellent- was huge so a bit of a mixed bag. I'd go again though as it's a great rural venue and is definitely worth supporting.

The Merchant's Yard
St John's Rd, Tideswell, BuxtonLocated in the centre of the Peak District the hotel provided excellent access to all the park has to offer. Personalised parking is provided and excellent communication from the hotel made finding the hotel easy. Our room was very comfortable with a beautiful bathroom with all the ‘extras’ included. The bed was very cosy and had we no trouble sleeping. The restaurant too was first class. Breakfasts were both plentiful and very well cooked and presented. Evening dinner was similarly excellent. This is not a cheap hotel, however you get what you pay for and we were very satisfied. The staff here were lovely and very helpful in all ways. We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights here and could not think of anything to have improved our stay.

Cock & Pullet
Main St, Sheldon, BakewellGreat pub. Friendly and gracious person behind the bar. Good selection of beers and choices of wines. I wasn’t eating but plenty of veggie options. Quiet (no TV or music) which is a plus in my book. Highly recommended.
