This was my second visit to Rokka, a warm welcome on both occasions. The restaurant was organised, clean and tidy.
The staff were very attentive and thorough throughout, the owner came across to check that we were happy with our meals.
Great choice of food and drinks all at a very good price, the food is fresh, very well presented …. five stars definitely deserved for a quality restaurant . We will certainly be going regularly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Been a while since I’ve been to Ripley. One thing that hasn’t changed is probably one of the best if not THE BEST chippies in the UK “RIPLEYS”.
My daughter treated me to mini fish chips and peas, absolutely out of this world! Fresh moist fish, crispy batter, proper chips not those limp insipid things most chippies fob us off with and mushy peas to die for. No wonder people were queued up to eat indoors or take out. I can’t think of a better reason to make my visits to Ripley a regular occurrence ???

Went to an event they had on tonight. It was amazing. Staff were very attentive and friendly. The place had a really bubbly feel… the landlord and landlady seem to be really hands on, they made a great effort with me and the other customers. Will definitely be returning?

Good, a bit on the expensive side, 21 pound for surf and turf, 5.35 for a pint of shandy, 6 pounds for a dessert, etc.

Very quiet when we went, plenty of tables to choose from, quick service, staff good.

Nice place, plenty of parking, nice food, clean, tidy, been here before, I will return in the future.

I've been going here for 10+ years! It is the best curry I have tasted in my life... no matter where I live I will drive... your hand is shook on the door and whatever you request, it is done! An absolutely perfect establishment... thank you bod!!!

Thanks so much for accommodating us two nights in a row this weekend - vegan food was delicious (the mock duck was amazing) - and for all your help with taxis when we were stuck! Highly recommend - brill service and fab food.

Finally a chippy that opens later than most other places! This one has become our local. Staff are always nice, food is good and the batter it top notch. Price is on point too, what you'd expect, but they do give good portion sizes too.

All in, a great chippy. Looking forward to. The next time we get a hankering for chippy tea and curry.

Great meal on our first visit to the restaurant. The staff were friendly and the place was clean and had a nice casual atmosphere. Very good range of starters and main courses which were excellent value for money. The food was really nice, good flavours and decent portion sizes. Many of the other items on menu sound really nice, so would definitely return to try a few different meals. Great experience overall.

Stop here on our way home to Bolton from great Yarmouth great half way stop good food not expensive and friendly staff There are toilets but you gotta buy something or it's a quid to use and it's cash only

Parking: Probably get around 50 cars on it

Wheelchair accessibility: Carpark is fairly flat a good solid ramp into the cafe

Probably the nicest Indian restaurant in derbyshire. Staff are extremely friendly, especially mushy, the restaurant is very beautifully and the service was quick. The food was delicious, not one thing I would change. Will definitely be returning soon.

The best chip shop and Chinese food around this area bar none!

I’ve been coming to this chip shop for over 10 years and the customer service of Jackie and the team is brilliant.

On top of that, the food is excellent, never had bad food from them once. Chip are freshly made and the fish is lovely and crispy. The Chinese food is excellent with whole pieces of chicken and none of the reformed stuff you get with other places.

Also it’s all so reasonably priced. We eat here around once a week and usually treat ourselves to food from here on a Saturday evening.

My only gripe is that they sometimes have to close to go on holidays. Which sucks cause it means that if we fancy a takeaway, we have to chose an inferior place and we’ve tried many over the years.

Out simply, Kingfisher and Luke Vic are the best.

We stayed in Lower Hartshay in October. Our visit would not have been complete without a few visits to The George Inn. A very warm and friendly welcome. Sunday lunch is spot on. Also worth knowing that dogs are more than welcome inside the pub, apart from dining times. Which I feel is totally acceptable. However there is a garden area where you can eat your food with you're four legged friends. Which was ideal for us. Can't wait to go back
