Main Rd, Morley, IlkestonPopped in for a Monday afternoon treat and was very impressed all round. Molly was polite and courteous and Dan was quick and efficient at the bar and delivering meals to tables. We both had fish and said it was possibly the best fish we have had for a long time. Generous portions, excellent chips and mushy peas. We will be returning soon.

Ladywood Rd, IlkestonVisited here tonight, all the food was excellent apart from one meal which was rump steak it was very over seasoned and salty which was a shame it was ate but it wasn’t enjoyed, that said the burgers and chicken and mix was perfect , so I think just an off night with the steak ?

Parking: We were lucky to find a space right outside the cafe. Looking around, there seem to be plenty of parking but not sure if they are chargeable

Main St, Mapperley, IlkestonWas just brilliant, went for pie night (Wednesday) & the piccie tells the tale - not a scrap left! I had the steak & ale with parmesan & truffle mash, garden peas & gravy. Two things are great - a stunningly tasty meal for under £10.00 (less drinks) & the choices on offer. There are choices for every bit - pies, mash/chips, peas/veg and even gravy choices. Something for everyone, even the veggies??.

9-11 Nottingham Rd, IlkestonThis is my second time in a few days visiting five rivers , and Saturday was the first time we have ever been , and oh my god best decision I ever made! The food is delicious , and incredibly fresh , the staff are fantastic , the main gentleman that has served us both times he is awesome , he can’t do enough for his guests , we normal venture to Nottingham for our Indian meals but not anymore , this is our favourite place now . If you have not been before you must give them a try you will not be disappointed!

This time around I had trouble ordering when it came to putting in my address,said they don't deliver here but I rang them put the order through with them and then because they only take card payments online had to go back online and the call handler has sorted out the address problem almost instantly. The handler was very polite and respectful. Five stars all round

The cobs themselves and the bacon was brilliant, really good, just wish there was an egg option!
All the other cakes ordered where fab, very pleased and happy!

128 Belper Rd, Stanley Common, IlkestonWonderful takeaway tried manlee for the first time on Halloween after trick or treating and although we don't eat much takeaway we've been back several times the owner is so friendly and tue food is perfect for us even my young daughter clears her plate I highly recommend trying manlee I even drive 15-20 minutes each way to get it because its the best Chinese takeaway we've had in a very long time and the best thing is supporting a small business because they deserve itDietary restrictions: Several signs are clearly located around the front of the store advising on allergies and dietary requirements they are happy to work you you and your needs

Ordered jalapeño cheese bites, onion rings, coleslaw, side salad, cheese burger, zinger burger and chips. Best jalapeño cheese bites ever! Crispy, creamy and spicy! I just find it a little strange and rather unpleasant to enter the establishment and hear Arabic songs being sung as if you were in some Islamic country.
It's not pleasant and it certainly doesn't give the establishment a good image, so bear that in mind

7 Nottingham Rd, IlkestonGreatly improved from a few years ago!This chippy is great. The chicken kebabs are fantastic, as are the wraps.The chip portion sizes are incredibly generous. A regular portion is more than enough for 2 and we always have loads left over. Enough to feed another person!The fish portions are great too, and absolutely delicious.The kebab quality was a bit iffy a few years ago. They've really upped their game recently and their kebabs are truly gorgeous now!Unfortunately this has led them to greatly reducing the size of their kebabs. Particularly the Briggs special kebab. This is really small now compared to how it was.I wish they'd offer their chicken curry without having to have it with a portion of rice. I don't go to a chippy for rice. Hopefully the owners will see this and start offering it with chips or on its own. I'm sure it would do really well.Their fried chicken isn't great, so we go to specialist chicken takeaways for that instead.If you're after a great traditional chippy tea of fish and chips Briggs is now the best in town.

Vegetarian options: There are always vegetarian options on offer and they always cater for my sister in law who has dietary restrictions.
Dietary restrictions: My sister in law has severe food allergies and she has always been catered for beautifully.
Parking: The car park is very generous, if it is a family gathering we arrive in separate cars and we have never had an issue finding a parking space.

We ordered a variety of things and was impressed with everything we ate. The spicy dishes were actually spicy rather than some places that are hardly spicy. Although we'd always wish for it to be spicier. We will be back for sure!

The bacon and brie ciabatta was rather mean in the amount of bacon on it . The fries were very nice and the salad okay . Spotlessly clean and lovely staff , it's a really nice place , just wish I'd ordered something else.

I called in here whilst my car was being serviced and was greeted with a warm welcome by all the staff who were great
The cafe had a real good feeling to it and sold a multitude of things other than food.
The food was cooked well, even the eggs which I am funny about but it was perfect for me, I am a white firm, yellow runny kinda guy.
The prices are fair, they will never compare with big pub chains but I am always willing to pay a little extra to keep a local shop in business
Probably my only gripe was that it opened a little late for me, but I am an early bird so it is nothing new for me to experience.
Would I go again? Definitely, the next time I'm in Ilkeston

Moor Ln, Dale Abbey, IlkestonBeen coming to this pub for many years and exploring the area. Good beer, particularly the 61 Deep which was on tap here when I last visited. Nice setting for a village pub has a real community feel and excellent beer garden to sit outside. Previously had Sunday lunch here and was excellent value for money.

Not the best carvery I've had but definitely not the worst. Meat was tender but the gravy could have been tastier and the roasties were deep fried and didn't have much colour. Apart from that top marks from me.
