The Star Inn is a great traditional old-style pub that would benefit from a limited menu or at least some decent snacks. The cask ales are an ever-changing selection, well-kept by someone who knows how to run a cellar. The barman is knowledgeable and can recommend ales that best fit the customers' tastes. While there are no football screens or loud music, except on Monday nights when the pub hosts an acoustic traditional/folk music session that has grown in popularity. The pub is a great place for real ale drinkers, with a cosy atmosphere and plenty of outdoor seating. Overall, the Star Inn is a quintessential traditional pub serving excellent beer and providing a welcoming space for good conversations with family and friends.
