46-50 High St W, GlossopSo I ordered off Just Eat, I realised I had ordered the wrong drink they said they didn't have the drink so we changed the order on the phone the person who came to the door was lovely and the food, oh my gosh the Aubergine Moju was out of this world and the Wattalapam, when I come back i will buy a whole car full it was literally that good. I got a taste of everything including the lamb patties. My one and only nit pick is the onion bajis we're abit burnt BUT they were free so you can't complain.

The amount of choices on the menu was very impressive (including Gluten Free options) and the food on arrival was as impressive both in quality and quantity. A couple of Real Ales were available both of which did not disappoint. If you are anywhere within striking distance you must visit you will not be disappointed with this excellent hostelry.
Food and drinks: Four of us each had a different main course from the menu and every one was impressed with the quality and quantity of their meals (Four Clean Plates) Two choices of Real Ales both very palatable.

The pizza place hadfield
39 Station Rd, Hadfield, GlossopIt's tasty, properly baked pizza. Definitely a cut above your usual doughy, bland tasting takeaway pizza, and I much prefer it to the over-sweetened taste of places such as Domino's. Delivery was quick, and the food was still hot. Garlic bread was great, too!

36 High St W, GlossopI used to live in Glossop, at a time when the Raj Gourmet brought something completely new to local curries. Every time I go back I hope it won't have lost its magic. All the curries here are completely different, so I can never decide and usually go for two very different dishes. Tonight I went for prawn pathia, chicken moglai, mushroom rice, and paratha. The pathia has lots of slivers of green chillis - eat them and it's deliciously vindaloo strength, leave them and it' a really good, rich sweet & sour curry. The moglai is smooth, indulgent, and nutty without the annoying sweetness of lots of similar curries. (The portions are still huge, so I'll be eating this tomorrow too). How they've managed to sustain the quality without increasing the prices, I don't know, but I love this place.

9 Victoria St, GlossopIt was not a good experience overall of having Indian food. The taste was not good, masala fish as starter was very badly cooked. Marinations, curry, or biryani all were with very less spices including salt. Though One of the few halal restaurants in Glossop.

Norfolk Pizza
Derbyshire County, 16 Norfolk St, GlossopFinding a local takeaway that delivered to me offering great food has been difficult as at best most of the local takeaways are average at best. I’ve tried most of the takeaways in Glossop including a couple of new ones that people were raving on about but I didn’t rate them that good so won’t be returning. I thought I’d give Norfolk Pizza a try and I’m so glad I did! I’ve never been a huge pizza lover however these guys have converted me. The pizzas in my opinion are definitely, by a country mile, the best in Glossop. The pizza base is the perfect ratio of not being too thick and doughy with the crust just right not to be too dry. The toppings for the pizza are, again in my opinion correctly rationed and not just slopped on top. It’s an excellent example on how to build a perfect pizza. The pizza’s therefore are delicious and much tastier than other rival takeaways including dominoes. In terms of delivery, the speed of service is excellent and the pizzas are always delivered piping hot by the drivers who always have a smile on their face. In terms of value for money, I would say that it’s really cheap for the quality of food they serve. This place is so good that now I have become a regular. Like all humans mistakes happen and on one occasion I paid for pepperoni on my pizza and they forgot to put it on. I rang them to let them know and rather than being a a*hole and demanding they resend the pizza, I asked if they could put extra pepperoni on next time. The staff were so apologetic and I suspect relieved that I didn’t make too much of a fuss and when I ordered the next time they remembered and gave me extra pepperoni. This tells me that they genuinely care about the food they serve and want to look after their customers. In addition to their excellent pizzas, the kebabs are damn tasty too and again you get a big portion of meat. Whilst I do enjoy hot chilli sauce with a kebab, the mild sauce they serve is excellent. It’s a homemade sauce that is unique and not something that you would find in any other takeaway. My review is based on my experience of around 10 deliveries and although I have given quite a lengthy review, I think that this takeaway deserves a lot of credit for making me a pizza lover and consistently delivering me hot delicious exceptional food and this is why I consider it to be the best takeaway in Glossop.Finally, I would strongly recommend that you order directly from their own website as it’s simple to use and you get free delivery. This is better than ordering from the likes of just eat as there is also no service charge so your meal is cheaper for you and better for the takeaway as they don’t pay commission which means they can keep serving better ingredients which ultimately makes it better for the customers. Tesco Cafe
Wren Nest Rd, GlossopWonderful! Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Took my order in a nice mannor and made me feel very welcome from the start. Plenty of seating to choose from. I ordered a breakfast and Tea, both were amazing. Plenty of food at this Cafe! Compared to the last Tesco cafe (where I had more fingers then beans on the plate) this really bumped up my recommendation for Tesco Cafes.
The food here is honestly the best I've had at any Tesco Cafe and I'm quite the Tesco breakfast person when traveling. You can tell it was made with love rather then thrown together and launched at you. Plenty of beans, egg was perfect with a nice runny yolk, bacon was not too fatty like most places, hash browns were out of this world (share your secrets please) and toast was perfect. Honestly it was like was waking up on a Sunday morning running down stairs to see your mother has made you a English breakfast!
My only issue that could be completely down to me as it was my choice. The table in the back corner. It's very low - like when in the seat my knees are higher so it made eating a little uncomfortable. Looking around through there is only one other table like this so in the end it was my choice, but would be wonderful if it it was just a tad bit higher!
Overall if you are like me and staying in the Stockport area wondering which Tesco Cafe should I head over for breakfast then choose this one. I'm saving this location for next time I'm down south as honestly it was worth every second, penny and full stomach!
Parking: Plenty of spaces and location is great and easy to get to.

Only slight suggestion I'd make is to drop the price of the main course slightly and reduce the portion size (they're on the large side) then we could probably have managed a sweet as well.

The room temperature was a little on the chilly side, this swiftly sorted by the staff and owners who were very attentive and kind The locals were very friendly and welcoming. 1 Norfolk Square, GlossopDecent coffee but in common with many other branches, in dire need of a makeover. This is getting steadily worse. All the chairs are now stained and need replacing.
This isn't Costa's fault but after 3pm it's more like a soft play area with kids running around, shouting. It also seems to have the only easily located public toilet in town, so non customers use it all the time.
A real positive is the staff. They're all terrific ?

Good sized potions, sensible price, and great quality. We had NYC steakhouse burger, and poulet a la ail gourmet fries - both were top class ingredients, cooked perfectly and with no waste. Will definately be using this place regularly. Looking forward to what's on the ever changing menu next week.

Having travelled a fair distance we arrived early and decided to eat here … how glad we did … I had the curry of the day and my husband the double burger … both were so tasty . Unit 11 Howard Town Shopping Park, Victoria St, GlossopWe travel quite extensively and can honestly say that this is one of the finest “Spoons” in the country. I ordered from my table as the place was quite busy. I pressed the “pay now” button and within a matter of a minute or so my coffee mug arrived. Main meal followed quickly and was VERY acceptable. Same again with dessert, payment processed and POW, food arrives. I have yet to have a bad experience here, unlike Staines on Thames where the worst eating experience in the world is available on a daily basis. See you again soon.

La Corrente Italian Restaurant & Bar
Town Shopping Park, Unit 6 Howard St, Victoria St, GlossopThis is our favourite restaurant and we go regularly. The atmosphere is lovely with friendly staff, a nicely decorated restaurant, and good background music. They are welcoming of our toddler who loves the bolognese and watching the pizzas go into the pizza oven. The food comes quickly (although you never feel rushed). They do wonderful gluten free pizza. Prices are very reasonable. They handle service for large groups well too. Couldn’t ask for more!
Kid-friendliness: Staff welcome the kids. I don’t think they have a specific kids menu but they can do the adult meals smaller for a very reasonable price.
