9 Steele's Bank, Wetheral, CarlisleCalled in on spec and was found a table ok. Had the lamb shoulder roast, absolutely beautiful. Well cooked, nice veg all hot and tasty served by very friendly and attentive staff. Drinks were good and reasonable price. Excellent place. Best to book. Think we were lucky to get a table.

The Queens at Warwick on Eden
Warwick Farm, Warwick-on-Eden, CarlisleWent for Monday lunch with friends and found the restaurant busy with a lovely relaxed and friendly vibe, fire burning and simple but effective Christmas decoration. The best was yet to come - the menu was inviting for vegetarian and meat eaters alike and we couldn’t resist the full three course experience. Service was friendly and prompt. The food was simply delicious and beautifully presented. I love mussels and these were just divine! ❤️ Every menu choice proved just as perfect as the company of friends. I could not recommend this place highly enough and well worth a detour off anyone’s route. We will certainly be back!
