The Mardale Inn at St Patrick’s Well
Mardale Inn, PenrithWe stayed in room 4 which was comfy, well sized with a really big bed. Good facilities and large bathroom.
We had dinner and breakfast which were very good quality. The service and drink selections were great too.
We'll definitely stay again and was great to support a community pub

Crown Inn at Shap
3NL Main Street, PenrithWe stumbled upon The Crown on our way home from Windermere. Fantastic, friendly service. We sat by the fire and thoroughly enjoyed delicious Lamb, with some beautifully cooked vegetables.
My daughter and I went home pleasantly full from the great portions of scrummy food. They also paid great attention to our dog Maya too.
5 stars.

The Strickland Arms
Great Strickland, PenrithI can't praise this place enough, it's a traditional pub serving fantastic food by lovely staff.
Rooms: We stayed in a shepherds hut built by the owner during lockdown. We loved it. A cosy cabin with a very comfortable bed and a lovely shower.

Kitchen Tebay Southbound
Orton, PenrithGenerally a nice place to stop, but overpriced for what you get. Full at the front and empty at the back £4.00 for this tuna and sweetcorn sandwich. The sweetcorn is extremely thin on the ground.
