Solid 3 courses, the cheese soufflé starter was delicious possibly the best in Penrith. The Fillet steak is the better than any you’ll get it in town, top notch quality, melted in the mouth steak, delicious flavours could not fault it at all. Sticky toffee pudding is a local staple, make it hotter and ditch the popping candy. Lovely wine and really attentive service. great value for money!

Absolutely fabulous bistro the food tastes delicious, all food & cakes are homemade. The couple who own it are so friendly, helpful nothing is too much trouble. This is definitely the best vegetarian / vegan restaurant we have been too.

Vegetarian options: All homemade an absolute taste sensation and the cakes are amazing too.

Unbelievably good food! ?? I would highly reccomend the fritters - go for the mixed one so a couple of courgette and a couple of spinach. If the chefs give you some of their special spicy feta dip as well then you're onto a winner. If it's not on the menu then it definitely needs to be! Such a friendly spot and if you're unsure what to get, ask for a reccomendation and you can't go wrong. Even better is if you're there on the right day pop into The Fell Bar, Penrith a couple of doors down where they're serving local craft alcohol and offer a £9 special where you can get a pint/glass of wine and pitta wrap/salad/mezze fritters/chips &... All you do is pay at the bar, take your receipt to Just Greek, order, take a buzzer, finish your pint, pop back, pick up your food and then eat it at the bar with another beer - go for the IPA.
I had no idea upon going in the accolades this place has, but after one visit you can 100% see why. Authentic and fresh it's just absolutely cracking. You'd be a fool not to and it's hard to resist getting more on top of the meal deal - I tried a mixed gyros and halloumi salad as well just because you can tell on walking in that the food is going to be worth it and I was not disappointed. Amazing and I hope to be back one day.

Stumbled upon this place on our drive back from Scotland. Nestled in a beautiful old village, the pub stands proud and welcoming. Clean, pet
friendly and warm. Quickly seated and served by a friendly bartender. Food delicious! We opted for light meals due to still having a long drive, would of loved to stay a while longer and tried some of the desserts on offer. Highly recommend.

Stayed in the local area and found this gem of an inn, with warm and friendly staff. We ate 3 times as the food was fabulous, you have to try the parmasan and truffle fries!! Don't forget to try the shortbread lovely. Special thanks to Sandra for making us very welcome during our visits.

We came for the tasting menu while on honeymoon and what a lovely way to celebrate!

The menu was great - a wonderful range of savoury and sweet dishes, cooked to such a high standard.

1863 were wonderful hosts, and the service was impeccable.

I may have eaten some bloody delicious food, but I also may have enjoyed the finest espresso martini I've ever had. What a delight.

Had a table booked here for a family meal the night before my daughter's and her partner's wedding. The family turned out to be far more than expected!! So thank you for accomodating us all at short notice when you were so busy! Also for accomadating my carnivore requirements! The special's.menu was great value ,as well as further choice from the main menu. Lovely atmosphere and food in a traditional style pub. Pleasant hardworking staff who smiled despite it all. Much appreciated!

Midway between home and Somerset but so much more: comfortable rooms, plenty of parking, quiet, attentive staff and even a restaurant with a thoughtful if limited choice (how much choice needed if many stay one night!?) all at a fair price and with some "dog" rooms. Our favourite eat out ice cream, too!Don't expect to walk up without booking - others have noticed

Popped in for some drinks after I couldn't find a coffee shop that was open and I'm delighted they were all closed. This was a great little bar, with some wonderful beers on offer, both locally produced and by some of the UK's best breweries.

We visited Penrith for just a couple of hours. I was hungry so parked the car and set off to find somewhere to eat.

We stumbled upon Traymons Cafe by pure chance. And what a find it was. The owner was so welcoming and chatted to us like old friends. The food was very good, cooked fresh and to our liking.

Other customers in the cafe chatted to us like friends. If we lived closer we would definitely be regulars.

Great place, can't say anymore than that.

Lovely lunch here, fantastic service, although busy no wait for my drink and food. Had lasagne, very tasty, brilliant salad and fries, a favorite. Highly recommend this cafe.
