The Hive, NentheadVisited twice during our long weekend in Cumbria. Once just us ladies popped in for a look around during Storm Babet, decided to have a coffee then were easily persuaded to change that to a bottle of Prosecco ? We visited again for Sunday breakfast (followed by delicious cake) with both families and two dogs. I’m so sorry we didn’t catch the name of the wonderful lady who served us on Friday and Sunday. So friendly and helpful. The place caters so well for dog owners too. They are more than welcomed. Our teenage daughter also bought some of the local craft gifts. If you are in the area, do go in. It’s so worth it. Thank you. X

The Overwater Restaurant
Nenthead, AlstonUnique atmosphere and organisation. Duck starter broth was amazing, a bit too quickly served for the rest of the plates. Nice home-cooked meals!
