West County Hotel, Market Square, Millom

Three of us called in shortly before closing this weekend after a long journey and hungry and Da Vinci was our preferred choice to eat at. They were happy to accommodate us and we weren't rushed. Glad we made it because the food was very very good and plentiful with good sized portions. Very nice house wine too and lovely staff. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Haverigg Fish & Chip Shop

Great choice of food and taste better than most chippies I've been to, fresh fish cooked nicely and chips spot on ?? what more can you ask ?? only one thing though it's cash only, think you'd get more customers if you had a card machine, if the post office is shut you were stuck, as the hole in the wall wasn't working... ??

Good quality for what you pay for, certainly get plenty
Service was excellent, only had to wait 10 minutes as most items are freshly cooked

The food here is exceptional. By far and away the best starter I've ever had and the main course was just as impressive. Would definitely recommend. Staff very friendly and professional. It's a 250 mile round trip but I will be going again 100%

Such a lovely location, and really nice food. Only thing that I would beg to the owner/manager reading this is to PLEASE put something, anything on those plain white walls. The place has a lot of potential but needs more atmosphere. Some pictures, some pub memorabilia, a crab pot etc. literally anything, just put something on them bloody walls and you've got yourself a 5 star pub. Thanks so much food was lovely

Great food, they don't always pick up the phone but saying that apparently take orders online now! The atmospheres is OK generally but it's not a restaurant as such its Millom...the foods good tho'!! Recommend totally!

Called in on a flying visit to Millom, the takaway coffee was mild and pleasant, the Millionaires' Shortbread was lovely, it had a pleasantly crunchy base and plenty of chocolate and loads of caramel. The granola was good as was the small quiche.I would highly recommend a visit.

The Clock Tower Bar

We went to the special Curry Night and it was such a great evening! The food was amazing and we even got seconds brought out for us. It was a deal for £30 which included the food and unlimited drinks for 2 hours. We had delicious cocktails, wine, gin and more. Brilliant, attentive and positive staff, great atmosphere and amazing food. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for the great night!

The Miners Arms in Silecroft is a delightful gem! This pub combines a cozy, rustic atmosphere with top-notch food and drink. The locals are friendly, and the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. Plus, the views of the surrounding countryside are just the cherry on top. Perfect spot for a pint and a chat. We only came in for a few drinks after a walk around Borwick rails . Quite a large pub with a few ales on the pumbs it also sells food with a varied menu the pubs itself is a stones throw away from the train station and the theatre

Called into this shop while walking the Cumbrian Coast Path.
Staff were so friendly and helpful.
I just had a coffee and a piece of Currant Cake and I have to say it was one of the best currant cakes I have ever eaten and I’ve quite a lot of currant cake in my time!
Good coffee too.

CK's Pizza & Kebab

Went yesterday Tuesday 10 September 2024 around 5.30pm.

Was served by a young lad who was really professional and very helpful.

We had a meat feast calzone and a bbq chicken 12” pizza, both were delicious. The lad who served us even made sure he put the right amount of sauce on my calzone.

It was so refreshing to be served by someone who was really genuinely interested in his job. He’s an absolute credit to the business.
