The Pig and Whistle is a quaint pub in the gorgeous village of Cartmel, offering a proper cosy, country pub feel. The bar staff are lovely and welcoming, and the locals are friendly too. The food menu sounds pretty good and looks delicious, with a good selection of pies, including a tasty beef and Guinness pie, served with a choice of potatoes and mixed vegetables. The sticky toffee pudding is also a yummy treat. The pub is located just a short walk from the centre of Cartmel, although parking on the roadside can be a bit of a challenge. Overall, the Pig and Whistle is definitely worth a visit.
