Monkhill, Carlisleit’s an award winning pub apparently and it’s easy to tell why when you’re eating their food! A really great dining experience at pleasantly affordable prices. I’m not surprised to see so many great reviews, very much recommended.

Bridge End Inn
Bridge End Service Station, Dalston, CarlisleBrilliant food, staff are friendly! Had my 21st meal here back in February and there was about 45 of us, not a single meal was wrong, food was piping hot! There is a wide variety of food and drinks! Been back again tonight, one of my favourite pubs! Deffo recommend!!

The Royal Oak Inn, Moorhouse, CarlisleGreat welcoming all round country pub. Excellent atmosphere, Live Sports & plenty of different events throughout the year. Lots of space to sit both front & back.

5 The Sq, Dalston, CarlisleThis is a very small ,but pleasant space in what is basically a room in a terrace house located in the centre of a very pleasant village. If is delightfully different.The meals are delicious in my opinion and the service friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is very relaxed and informal.The prices are competitive and reasonable.We tend to book a table as capacity is limited, but is not a requirement.It is not elegant, it is as the name suggests just like being in someone’s house and that is part of its charm.The total experience is consistent and I always enjoy my visits.

8 The Sq, Dalston, CarlisleAbsolutely amazing fish and chips. Be warned, the fish portions are huge, so unless you eat a lot and are hungry, the medium fish is more than adequate. Even the lite bites are a decent portion. The chips are chunky and filling

14 Carlisle Rd, Dalston, Carlisleabsolutely fuming, just made an order for a HAM salad baguette when my partner brought it back it was absolutely full of coleslaw NO ham!! and i found a prawn in there what in the world, yukk I never wanted coleslaw either just a basic ham salad, and it's now shut! I'm absolutely starving too and was looking forward to it as there baguettes are nice and bacon rolls are amazing so disappointed

Orton Grange Cafe and Gifts Orton Grange, CarlisleI was doing some work near Orton Grange and needed to meet with the client ahead of the shoot - I can't say how helpful the staff were ahead of arriving (helping with WiFi etc) and how comfortable they made us. The refreshments were wonderful and the environment is fantastic. Thank you Orton Grange Cafe and Gifts!
