Restaurants in Chapel Stile

The Talbot Bar
Lake District National Park, Skelwith Bridge Hotel, AmblesideUnpretentious and very tasty food - warm and friendly atmosphere. Bustling. Very dog friendly. Very much enjoyed our evening meal here - very generous portion of fish & chips! The curried goat looked like a really interesting option but deemed would be too spicy by my wife!

Wainwrights' Inn
Chapel Stile, AmblesideGreat service, tasty food, fantastic location, what more could you ask.
*Edit I've recently been spending a lot of times in the lakes and despite being spoilt for choice when I comes to places to eat, I always seem to find my way back here. As good now as it was 3 years ago when I left my original review.

Stove Restaurant & Bar
Great Langdale, AmblesideAs a lodge owner, Stove is a great asset to the Langdale estate offering a subtle mix of casual to smart casual dining if I might describe it like that. The waiting staff - particularly Natalie - were excellent. They were let down by the kitchen who managed to engineer a 5 minute gap between making 2 of our 3 meals available and the third. Such a shame, but these things matter. Even a coffee ordered never made it before we left. Attention to detail is important, which was lacking unfortunately.
