We had roast lamb with all the trimmings and salmon/smoked haddock fishcakes and poached egg, all fantastic with generous portions. Desserts were chocolate brownie, knickerbocker glory and a cherry and chocolate ice cream dessert.

24 The Promenade, Arnside, CarnforthLovely cafe/tearoom. Lovely friendly staff. Dogs are very welcome and they have a jar of dog treats near the till. Had the nicest ham and cheese toastie I've ever eaten. Would definitely recommend this as a place to grab a drink and some food. Has a couple of tables in the windows which look out over the sea. Definitely going there again when we next visit .Dietary restrictions: If you let the staff know of any dietary restrictions or allergies when you enter they will do their best to accommodate.Parking: There are a couple of spaces out the front and a bit of limited time on street parking but on the Promenade just past the Albion pub is plenty of free parking with no time limit. I think there is also a pay and display just past the tearoom on the left hand side.

11 The Square, Ingleton, CarnforthOutstanding service online and great product range. I bought Rab waterproof trousers online they arrived next day but they didn't fit. I followed the simple return instructions and a refund was back in the bank a day after the return was received. Brilliant service and much recommended.

The Swan Inn, Middleton, Kirkby LonsdaleOur third visit to this beautiful pub, the food is excellent, real 'pub food' which you don't tend to find very often these days. Highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding. The owners are very welcoming, even with our 'spirited' children. The building is lovely with many original features retained. Certainly our 'go to' place to eat when we're in the area.Kid-friendliness: Outdoor play equipment that our kids love.

They serve several dishes which are reasonably priced and tasty.They serve black coffee too. If you want milk, they separately serve cold milk for you to add according to preference.When you do full ingleton waterfalls trail and come out to the village centre this is one of the first few restaurants you come across.Dine in and outside seating available.

Greenlands Farm Village
Greenlands Farm Village, Tewitfield, CarnforthWe recently visited Greenlands Farm Village, a decision inspired by the desire to introduce our son to animals, and it turned out to be an absolutely amazing experience. It was heartwarming to see how some animals, like goats and chickens, roamed freely, allowing our son to interact with and touch them up close. This hands-on encounter was truly lovely for him. Furthermore, the staff there were incredibly kind and helpful, especially when it came to the rabbits and the owl. A nice staff member assisted our son in feeding and touching these animals, which added to the memorable experience.There was also a trampoline and play area, which was a great addition to the day. Overall, our visit to Greenlands Farm Village was not only enjoyable but also very educational for our son. We're definitely looking forward to going back!

The mix of the traditional chippy coupled to electronic displays of cooking / waiting times is very slick and well executed.Food wise, portion sizes are good, my cod was cooked to perfection, extras like Mushy peas, curry sauce etc are available. The batter used is very light (maybe too light for me), again frying time for this was bang on.If you've been to the Arnside Chippy, you know it's good. If you're a first timer, pay it a visit, you'll have no reason to regret it.

Three County Catering
Crag House, High Casterton, CarnforthI have just had a fabulous cookery demonstration day with Fiona. I learned so much about cooking techniques and how to cook delicious food, which we got to taste as part of a fabulous lunch and afternoon tea. We were welcomed with coffee and the best cheese scones and ginger biscuits I’ve ever tasted. All in all an amazing day, a satiated appetite and lots of tasty recipes to try at home. We were even given a goody bag with Ingredients and beautiful almond biscuits to take home. I can thoroughly recommend this cookery experience and I hope to do it again very soon! Thank you!!

The Sweet Shop
The Sweet Shop, 5 Market Square, Kirkby Lonsdale, CarnforthGreat selection, although staff behind the counter use their hands to touch the sweets. I asked for chocolate ginger, I have OCD so threw away the choc ginger as he touched it whilst weighing out. Hygiene with food is important to me. Personally I do not think food should be touched by hands behind the counter, whatever a procedure. Plenty of apparatus on the market. Just an honest review, and my review was not minutes after leaving the shop.

Over Kellet, CarnforthWent there with a couple of friends last night for food. The steak and ale pie was excellent…a proper pie, not just a pot with a pastry lid. The fish and chips were also excellent, with nice crispy batter…and good chips and all reasobably priced…would definitely recommend and we’ll back there soon
