Nice pub meal,but empty by the time we left about 9.30 I think and it was a shame because the workers there seemed really pleasant.

Beehive

I had two evening meals here during my stay in Carlisle. Usually I would try different places on each night but the warm welcome and excellent service I had made me think nowhere would top The beehive. Lisa was great.

Gurkha Spicy

Very happy with our experience here. Lovely staff who are happy to accommodate requests and good portions of tasty, good quality food. Biryani was especially good, will try one of their Nepalese dishes next time.

Royal Outpost Thai & Asian Restaurant Carlisle

Nasi Goreng was delicious.
The fast food mix lemonade was odd.
Nice decor & ambience.
Oddly, when I tried to order from the dessert menu, they said they didn’t have any.
Otherwise: polite, attentive & speedy service.

Romano Pizzeria

Sorry I posted a review for the wrong place on here so I have now deleted it and I did have a cappuccino here and the service was great thank you. And when I'm in the area again I will use you again.
The pizzas looked good so I might try next time.

Everest Kitchen

We ordered the Everest special meal. 2 starters ( chicken tikka starter and onion bhaji) 2 mains (chicken tikka madras and chicken tikka patiya) chips, it also comes with plain and peshwari naan breads, boiled rice and pilau rice , poppadoms, mango chutney, garlic sauce and mint raita,.and 2 cans of choice (we had Fanta X2) and our meal was absolutely delicious. The flavours were amazing. Everything cooked to perfection. This is enough to feed a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) the portions are huge. Would highly recommend this takeaway. The staff were friendly and helpful on the phone and polite when I went to collect. Thanks for a great meal and wonderful service!

Casa Romana

absolutely beautiful. the decor is just wonderful, the staff are prompt and attentive and very very friendly. the food is delicious, absolutely mouth-watering, the spaghetti bolognaise was delicious, but the best part of the entire 3 courses was the tiramisu, WOW! that was gorgeous.

Kid-friendliness: has a kids menu and drinks for kids.

Wheelchair accessibility: steps to get into the building, then steps for the toilets. there are seats outside though for sunny days.

Penny Blue Restaurant & Bar

Went with family for a birthday meal, the food was lovely, but our food didn't really match the description and therefore our expectations. There was a minor mix up of our order, but the staff quickly sorted that out for us. I was impressed by the service. It was Friday evening at 7:00 and we weren't expecting it to be quite so busy, it was so noisy you could only just hear any conversation. The venue is very beautiful, it's a lovely spot.

Grill39

The first time we ordered from Grill39, the food arrived pipping hot. Food was tasty and well cooked. Kebab meat was ok but not spicy enough for me also they we're thick slices i prefer thin slices, just my preference. Will definitely order again from Grill39 and try other delights on the menu.

Brewdog is a shop that is famous for its craft beer. There are many different flavors of beer to choose from. at a reasonable price The atmosphere of the shop is decorated comfortably. There is a corner to play pool and board games.

Great menu and all our meals were lovely. Very warm and welcoming place with attentive service. Cocktails were delicious! Music was great and we will be back. Definitely recommend.

Penny Farthing Coffee House

We had the small breakfast priced at £5.25 . It was absolutely lovely , all cooked freshly and served by pleasant and helpful staff . We couldn’t fault it . Great value for money . It included toast and tea or coffee too . We had stayed in the nearby Travelodge , so it was very handy to come to Penny Farthing for breakfast .

Gosling Bridge Inn

Really nice pub/restaurant. Ive been twice this week for a cheesy stack burger and the hunters chicken this evening. Took me a while to figure out why it was so nice....no loud pumping music! Just a nice low hubbub of people chattering away enjoying their partners and friends company. Takes a while to order and get that order but that due to it being busy and deservedly so! The staff are hard working and super nice and the food is well cooked and tasty....as usual, the bottom line - would i come back and would i recommend it....YES definitely, good food, good beer, really nice atmosphere and above all great friendly happy staff.

The Maharaj

First takeaway from Maharaj and it did not disappoint. Chicken Aghani, lemon rice and a chapati. Absolutely delicious curry, nicely spiced & very flavoursome all served piping hot. Husband thoroughly enjoyed his too- Chicken Nepalese with a cheese keema nan. Gave us complementary poppadoms and pickle too. Very friendly and fast service. Highly recommended ?

Stanley's Bar & Restaurant

4 of us visited for bottomless brunch, we had a great time. There is a really good variety of cocktails and drinks included, and the food was good too. They were really attentive when asking us if we would like more drinks and brought a few rounds of shots round too. We would definitely recommend and will be visiting again ourselves, thank you!

I only live 2 mins down the road so i collect my food, so I cant comment on the delivery services. Since we discovered it, it's our go to place for a quick scran. They do a banging munchies box which is dirt cheap for the variety and what you get ? Give it a go if you've not already.

Walkabout - Carlisle

Have frequented Walkabout multiple times over the past month. The food has been great quality. I have had the Melted Cheese Burger and Wings. The wings could have been tossing in sauce, personal preference. Service has been good, not always a person available but they come promptly. Will go again to eat and watch sports.

Carlisle Station Hotel | Sure Collection by Best Western

Drawback is having to pay £12 per day for the hotel car park regardless if one has a blue parking permit.
Makes a stay quite costly.

I only pulled in because I hit a ferkin pothole that took out my front tyre.. On the Carlisle roundabout North bound slip.. Another £100. Why are we paying road tax... Anyway I got a caramel hot chocolate and it was great and the lady behind the counter was very pleasant and chatty...

It is very nice the food tasted really good the donner meat was nice and not dry like I have had from other places. The food is nice and warm and the drivers and employees are friendly.Kid-friendliness: It is very kid friendly the owner is really nice and the other employees are nice and friendly a very nice environment.

My wife and I have had many good meals I Franco’s over the years, it was our go to restaurant when we went shopping in Carlisle. It was never perfect but we always enjoyed it. Tonight however the food was exceptional. Can’t wait to go back

First visit to this restaurant. Like others before me, I found the staff to be a little off. Like they didn’t really want me there. Other than that, the food was very tasty. Fast service and reasonably priced. Very empty on Wednesday night. As you’d expect.
Would imagine the weekend atmosphere to be better. Give it a try ?

Stands out from most other Chinese take aways in Carlisle for taste and quality. Bigger portion size than most. Tried three dishes this evening- all excellent.I’ve been ordering Chinese food in Carlisle for over ten years and this place is one of the best currently available for sure

Do not be fooled by the prices. The steak pie & chips were absolutely delicious and tremendous value for money.The contents of the pie was one of the best and tasiest I've had in a long time. If you're looking for something quick and tasty that offers value for money with friendly service then look no further.

Little Chippy /Southern Frıed Chicken

Went in to get fish and chips and I have to say the cod was one of the best I have had yet, so fresh and a light golden batter, chips were soft and fresh and golden

Milano Carlisle

It is quite a small shop, it has some tables and chairs but is very basic. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. You can also get food delivered.

Parking: People do park outside the shop, but there is always traffic going past, not ideal. Probably okay if you are just popping in to pick up.

Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level, easily accessible.

You could be the only one waiting to give your order and staff would be busy doing their own things or dealing with drive through during the evening

It's McDonald's, can't really say more than that. It's consistent. Difficult to get in with a pushchair or wheelchair though, especially as the lift is never on ,

Whytes Cafe Bar

We stopped in today to miss a rain shower & it was an amazing find. We had soup, a panini & quiche followed by cake, every last bite was amazing. Love that they have a choice of coffee blends to suit different tastes too. Lovely place to eat & cannot recommend enough. Without a doubt we will be back. ❤️

The Milbourne Arms

Was previously our local. Now we go out of our way to visit.
No one in Carlisle looks after their beer like Trevor.
Sunday Dinner's always a real treat too.

Castlegate Coffee House

Phoned them for an afternoon tea at short notice after an unexpected visit to Carlisle, couldn't do usual, but what they did provide was excellent and beautifully presented, would def go again, very recommended!

The Source

Brilliant venue! We went to watch a band (Blue Scarrow were amazing!) They have open mic nights, jam sessions, and performances from local bands! Quirky decor too!

The Chimes Cafe

A lovely cafe with freshly homemade cooked food, that has been on Castle Street for years. The food is lovely with a great choice. The menu changes daily and they havea shoppers special, pensioners special. From a breakfast roll to a full breakfast. Homemade soup, sandwiches, baked potatoes, chips and sausages, mash potatoes, chicken and vegetables etc. Freshly baked scones, and hot/cold puddings They made me a lovely afternoon tea for my mum's birthday and it was perfect. But you need to ring a couple of days in advance. It is great value for money and the owner Mary and the staff are lovely. x

Wanted to leave a review as the tall young gentleman went above and beyond when I spilled my coffee in store! I felt so bad and he was really lovely about it and wouldn't let me help when I offered to clean it up. Need more people like yourself!

This place literally makes the kids beyond happy, always love our weekly stops in here! Kids are always excited to come which is lovely a great place in the local community ?

The Fryery

Quite simply the best chip shop in Carlisle - worth the move or drive up to Stanwix for! The food is so fresh and well cooked, and really good portion sizes as well and well priced. I don't know anyone who has had anything bad from this place. The staff are really friendly and brilliant at their jobs, the service is so fast and efficient, and it's spotlessly clean everywhere.

Sausage roll and a stake bake.... no wait... peperoni pizza and a star buscuit...oh damm no ill have a flat white and a bacon n egg baguette..... cheap and tasty food.

Just BRILL and great real ale, brilliant music pub, owners excellent, staff excellent, highly recommended

The staff were lovely the food was (I could not think of a better word), delicious I had not been in here for years. I think it must of changed hands I think. The last time I was here I think it was just souly to take a few photos but this time I took the time to have something to eat and drink it was awsome thank you very much.
