Broughton-in-FurnessTruly special. Everything was above expectations, from the moment I stopped through the low door and smelt the open fire to the warm welcome from all the staff, the CAMRA-recognised interior, and the beautifully prepared food. Seriously good. We happened to be there on the 45th anniversary of the dart board, for some reason behind which they keep a photo of the MP at the time in a canoe.

The Crosby Cake Cupboard & Snack Shed
Crosbythwaite Farm, Broughton-in-FurnessAbsolutely perfect stop for lunch on a drizzly afternoon. Very much the best BLT I've eaten. Sausage sandwich was three whole sausages in a bap. Good thick bacon, perfectly cooked. Egg bap was also amazing, and the tuna mayo panini was also wonderful cooked to order.
Brownie was also a firm favourite and the raspberry crumble slice was delicious.
Portaloo on site for toilet, perfectly clean ?
Lovely setting of course, stream and fells, with a single shed seating about 8 to shelter in.
Parking for 4 or 5 cars.
Only downside was that my wife's coffee was very strong, while mine was very watery.
Not sure what happened there ?♂️ not a problem really.
Didn't get any pictures as we scoffed the lot en route, as the lady very kindly showed them to go.

Prince's St, Broughton-in-FurnessWe stumbled across this little gem on a road trip around the area. Staff were so friendly, food was freshly made and delicious as were the pies and cake slices that we bought as takeaway. Highly recommended ?

1 The Square, Broughton-in-FurnessLovely visit today. Jill was on her 1st ever voluntary shift. She was great to talk to and very helpful. She directed us to a beautiful walk from Broughton Mills. Many thanks Jill. We had a wonderful afternoon.
