Staff were so incredibly polite and welcoming you can tell they are all very passionate about the restaurant and what they do. I had the fillet steak and my boyfriend had the salmon tagliatelle and both were perfection. Not a single thing to fault about this restaurant. We are here on holiday and have our hearts set on this being our to go to place. Outstanding?❤️

Fallbarrow Rd, Bowness-on-Windermere, WindermereThis amazing hotel is our best place to stay in the lakes! Been coming for many years. The owners are lovely and very attentive. Feels like home away from home. Super close to the town and jetty like a 2 minute walk. The breakfast is super. Very tasty great portion size which really sets you up for the day! Rooms are spotless and great size with all the usual items as expected. Great view of the lake from room. Wont book anywhere else! Make sure you book here!

Burn How Garden Hotel
Back Belsfield Rd, Bowness-on-Windermere, WindermereLovely location and very quiet due to the trees and well maintained garden that surrounds the hotel. Bed was very comfortable with high quality linens and duvet. Breakfast offered a good selection of fruits and cereals with excellent cooked options. Public areas were really pleasant and offer a great view of the garden. Very close to Bowness with good shops and some excellent bars and restaurants. The only negative comment….the bedrooms could do with a little maintenance. Only saw two but repainting and re carpeting would improve things. Really appreciated the friendly and welcoming staff.

The food is wonderful served by staff who know what they're about. The artwork within the hotel and its grounds is a treat for the eyes. The staff at every level are very professional and attentive without being imposing. The cost of a stay is expensive but so worthwhile.Nearby activities: Within easy access to Bowness, a five minutes taxi or a 20 minute walk but it is a steep walk back.

Claife Station, AmblesideLovely cafe, amazing sausage roll and chai latte. A welcome rest for feet and treat for stomach on a cold dull day. Worth the ferry ride just for this. Wish I had a bigger stomach to have tried more of what’s on offer.

Shahib's Indian Restaurant and Takeaway
The Arcade, the 3bx, 4 Crag Brow, Bowness-on-Windermere, WindermereVisited Windermere Marina Village and decided to have an Indian takeaway. Shahibs was outstanding. Chicken Jalfrezi. Chicken Pathia rice. Peshwari nan and onion Bajis. Very nice indeed. I will be returning before I go back home. Loved it. 5 stars. The staff we spoke to was very polite indeed. Many thanks.

The Angel Inn
Helm Rd, Bowness-on-Windermere, WindermereStayed here from Tuesday to Thursday with my husband and our dog. Room ok could have been a bit bigger. But had a decent shower and tea and coffee facility in the room. Breakfast was really good lots of choice hot and cold. The only disadvantage was not many parking spaces and it is very steep to get to. But staff very friendly and courteous. Handy for walking down to get the Ricercruise to Ambleside.Nearby activities: Lots of lovely shops near by and plenty of places to eat. Would definitely recommend The Royal Oak. Really friendly staff and the food delicious and plentiful and reasonably priced.

The service was 11/10 very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant had a very chilled vibe and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, we will definitely be back.

Lake Rd, Bowness-on-Windermere, WindermereHad a couple of meals here and I have to say they were lovely, especially the Sunday roast. My partner had the Goulash and said he enjoyed it. The Staff are so friendly and helpful. The pub is also dog friendly and our Border Terrier loved the attention he received from customers and staff.

I have to avoid gluten, corn and yeast which usually means I can't have gravy, but they catered for my needs perfectly, thank you ?Dietary restrictions: Just tell your server your needs and they liaise with the chef. Your meal comes with a little allergy flag on it so you can have confidence that the staff have taken care.

I even downloaded the app on the advice from the staff.I had two hot toasted sandwiches which were amazing, as was the cinnamon bun latte.
