Graze cafe
Crag Brow House, Helm Rd, Bowness-on-Windermere, WindermereIt's super delicious. It can make such authentic Asian food. It's a very attentive meal and the service is even better. I've been here twice. The chef just went out and couldn't serve the meal right away. I was very disappointed. The counter actually called the chef right away. Coming back allows me to enjoy delicious food again. The ramen is purely Japanese, and the sauces and side dishes of the rice are also great. It’s great~

Hole in t' Wall
Robinson Pl, Bowness-on-Windermere, WindermereCouldn't book but it didn't matter. Kitchen closes at 8pm this time of year so make sure you are prompt because you don't want to miss out on this. The food is excellent, the Lamb Henry (I still think about it ?) was superb. Well kept beers enjoyed in a friendly atmosphere in one of the oldest pubs around. Loved it.

Porto Restaurant
3 Ash Street, Bowness-on-Windermere, WindermereWhen I write a review I always include anything that subtracted from the experience or could have been better - and I am very critical while being fair.
We went to Porto for an anniversary celebration with friends, and I had shared the occasion when booking. How nice to find our table decorated for us!
The good things - Staff, restaurant itself, exceptional food, goos wine at sensible prices.
The not-so-good-things - for the first time in a long while I can't think of a thing.
Completely impressed, many thanks to everyone at this lovely restaurant.

Burn How Garden Hotel
Back Belsfield Rd, Bowness-on-Windermere, WindermereA group of four ladies stayed for two nights. We had two garden rooms. Both lovely self contained chalets. Plenty of room inside and car parking outside the chalet. Beautiful decor throughout the hotel. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Owner was always present too. Breakfast was buffet followed by the best poached eggs ever. The property is set back from main road so traffic noise is minimal. Could walk into town in 5 minutes. Overall a very pleasant stay and will certainly rebook.

Village Inn Bowness-On-Windermere
Lake Rd, Bowness-on-Windermere, WindermereWe really enjoyed our visit here today. We were greeted by Aaron who was very welcoming and we had a great laugh with him. Our dog was welcomed as well and it was a nice change from other pubs to be able to sit somewhere comfy and warm with the dog. Played several rounds of Connect 4 and a round of pool, and the bar even invented a new shooter for us because the one we wanted wasn’t available. We had a lot of fun! Thanks to all the staff.

The Boathouse | Bar & Restaurant
Windermere Marina Village, Bowness-on-Windermere, WindermereFive star but a problem!
We wanted to sail in and have a meal in the restaurant , but were told by some pompous man from the marina that we couldn’t moor up. He made no attempt to show where we could berth. We have enjoyed visiting seven times in past usually 6 persons. Went around to burger stand at Ferry Nab ! We want to come and eat at boathouse but don’t like being turned away

Lake Raj
3 Longlands Rd, Bowness-on-Windermere, WindermereLake Raj Bangladeshi Restaurant Review
Food (4/5) While the food was enjoyable, it wasn’t outstanding. The prawn puree starter had a generous portion of prawns, though the puree itself was not as soft and flaky as expected. The main courses (mix grills, lamb chops, chicken biryani, and prawn bhuna) were solid but didn’t surpass previous experiences.
Service (5/5) Exceptional service with highly attentive staff. Plates were cleared quickly after the starter, and hot plates were promptly provided for the main course.
Atmosphere (4/5) The restaurant’s exterior was appealing, but the interior decor didn’t quite match the expectations set by the outside. However, the facilities, including the clean toilet, were well-maintained.
Overall, Lake Raj offers a pleasant dining experience with great service, decent food, and a comfortable atmosphere.

ChoccoBar Hot Chocolate House
57/58 Quarry Rigg Shopping Center, Off Lake Rd, Bowness-on-Windermere, WindermereAs we were passing through we thought we would stop by and try the waffles as a friend of ours had recommended this cafe. We ordered to takeaway as we were very short on time, and despite some reservations that our ice cream would melt, the lady behind the counter provided an ice pack to keep it frozen for our 20 minute or so drive back to our holiday apartment! Needless to say the waffles tasted incredible and the ice cream survived! Top class service and very tasty waffles. Will definitely come again if we find ourselves in the area.

House Of Siam
3 and 5 Grosvenor Terrace, Bowness-on-Windermere, WindermereJust got back from a weekend away in Bowness and we loved our Saturday night meal that much we came back on Monday for lunch!
We walked in and booked during the day on the Saturday for later that evening (I’d definitely recommend booking). We were told by locals it was the best around! When we arrived it was packed and staff were rushed off their feet waiting on customers and made us feel very welcome before sitting us down.
We were spoilt for choice with the menu but opted for the set menu A for two and were not disappointed. The mixed starter platter was amazing and we enjoyed everything but especially the salt and pepper chicken wings and satay chicken.
The stand out part of the main was the pad Thai and Thai green curry was one of the best we have ever had.
The food came out so fast but was still hot and fresh.
So glad we returned for lunch again as the food was perfect and staff were very friendly and welcomed us back!

Lakeland Charcoal Grill
2, Saint Martins hill, Bowness-on-Windermere, WindermereLarge mixed kebab consisted of 2 lamb skewers, one chicken and loads of done meat, which was the best part and not something I'd usually eat. Salad was a little lack lustre, not having tomatoes or carrot, but would go back there again.
Though the price, as expected for the area, was a little pricey at £16 for one.
