121, 123 Duke St, Barrow-in-FurnessI booked The Meeting Place for my 40th birthday party and it was a great night!From initially reaching out to Mel on the FB messenger page, to turning up for the night and having Imogen look after us, the whole thing was faultless.I ordered pizzas as part of the catering and they managed to deliver on vegetarian options, vegan options, lactose free options, and gluten free options, which is no mean feat!I was told I could book a DJ, or make my own playlist on Spotify and play it through the sound system. I chose the latter and that was also made super simple to set up by the staff!On the night all the staff were super friendly and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble.All in all, I had a fabulous experience from start to finish and they really made my big birthday celebrations feel special.I would highly recommend for any future events you might have!

Glad we found this place rather than go to another well known chain down the road. Would return. Cakes looked amazing. Decor was really dark though, that’s the only thing I would change. Didn’t eat my egg, as I prefer scrambled which didn’t appear to be an option.

Dietary restrictions: We were all vegetarians and there was ample option to choose from.
Kid-friendliness: They looked after both my kids with what they both were craving for being away-from home. Very thankful for that ??

Promenade, Walney Island, Barrow-in-FurnessAmazingly tasty food! Me and my partner ordered from here last night, we got a munchy box and it was honestly THE best munchy box I’ve ever had! The pizza was the best pizza I’ve had from any other takeaway! Chips & donner meat were also delicious. It did take an hour but after tasting the food I can see why it took abit longer! if you’re contemplating ordering from here but not sure if you want to take the risk… Take it! You won’t regret it! Best takeaway in town in my opinion.

50 Cavendish St, Barrow-in-FurnessI ordered the Monster burger and loaded fries via Barrow Eats for delivery. Sadly my order was delivered to the wrong person and they took it. After a quick call, they sorted it for me and my order was promptly delivered again. All the staff on the phone were very apologetic and when I received my food I got an extra cheesy garlic bread pizza. All the food was really good and I highly recommend the monster burger.

It was delivered before the promised time, reasonably priced, tasty and decent serving sizeThe only thing they need to improve is the guy taking orders over phone are not proficient in English so it’s a little barrier but overall they’re nice and helpful too

North Rd, Barrow-in-FurnessIt's a Brewers Fayre, you know the food, it's pretty much the same where you go. The big difference here is; it's clear these guys actually care and it shows, staff are lovely, it was a bit cold when we got in and we asked for the heating which they were more than happy to turn up. Would definitely recommend!

Vegetarian options: Large vegetarian selection you wouldn’t notice that they also did meat and fish if you didn’t eat it. Amazing high quality food. I would expect this of a fine dining restaurant who specialised in vegetarian food, but instead in this casual bistro atmosphere.

I was extremely impressed with the quality of food and value for money. More to the point is the very warm welcome you receive from the staff. Nothing is too much trouble. I’m gluten free and it was refreshing to have someone go through all the options on the menu without making me feel a nuisance, which has occurred at numerous places. Service was excellent and food delicious. The experience was so good we all returned the following two days!

That's probably down to personal preference. Another observation was that we felt a little rushed to place an order and relinquish our table. This was mainly because it was a busy Saturday evening. Overall, the experience was good and we enjoyed the evening.

79-81 Cavendish St, Barrow-in-FurnessThe only Italian restaurant that I fully enjoy, I’ve had lots of Italian food from different restaurants and have always been left feeling disappointed because nothing gets close to salvos recipes, he knows what he’s doing and knows how to make the best food around, nothing can beat it, he makes the best garlic bread, carbonara and pancetta dishes (they are my go to) defo need to go for a meal for my birthday, it’s not a good birthday if I don’t have my fave meal ?

Until eating here, I suppose I have been put off over the years by mass produced pies, soggy pastry and bland gravy with nothing else in them. That ends here, be prepared for a taste sensation. We've been multiple times over the years and it never fails to impress! It's a must visit. Perfect, crumbly pastry with generous, tasty fillings. The breakfast pie is probably a favourite but then so are the amazing freshly cooked scotch eggs and then the absolutely perfect pork pies. I realise after all I do like pies and pastry products from here. Simply from here, nowhere else need bother, they cannot match here, and you needn't bother going anywhere other than here. Oh, and a decent coffee to help it all go down too!

Abbey Rd, Barrow-in-FurnessWe had relatives visiting from Canada this weekend after 30 years! and we had arranged a pop in afternoon for family to say hello, there was no room available when I originally enquired, but thanks to the Bar/Restaurant Manager (think he was called John) he managed to get us a side room so we could all relax and chat somewhere private, thank you so much for going above and beyond we really appreciate it.
