As a pie lover this pub really hit the spot. Without a doubt the very best fully encased steak and ale pie I've had in 30 years. Ohhh and the beers good too. Give it a try you won't be disappointed

My wife and I stopped here on the way back to our campsite near by. We were greeted with a very friendly smile and shown to our table. The pub itself is nicely decorated and has a very nice atmosphere to it . The food itself was amazing , my sea bass was cooked perfectly and along with the crushed potatoes, spinach and sauce , was one of the best plates of food I’ve eaten in some time. Went for a Sunday roast with the family. Friendly staff, very knowledgeable and helpful. We ordered the roast which has two meat options. Presentation was impeccable. Flavours and textures were amazing and hands down the best roast I’ve had for a long time. Highly recommend this place and we wish we found it at the start of our holiday not the end. Thank you to chef’s Dave and Jordan for an awesome lunch and extra gravy.
