Charlie's
14th Century Cottage, Fore St, TintagelPopped in for a cheeky brunch/lunch on a day off. Can highly recommend the cheese scones - the accompanying chutney is gorgeous! The sweet scones (because if you have a savoury scone you've got to follow it with a sweet one) we're lovely too. Oodles of toppings for both! The hot chocolate and latte were just what we needed on a chilly, rainy day.We can't recommend Charlie's enough!

King Arthur's Cafe
5 Atlantic Rd, TintagelAfter exploring the castle we walked here for lunch. We loved everything about this cafe. They had a kids menu and the staff was so friendly. I was craving a cream tea and it was seriously delicious. Highly recommend you make a stop here if you are in town!Kid-friendliness: We sat outside and it was perfect for the kids.

The Cornish Bakery
1 Castle Rd, Tintagel15 years of holidaying in Cornwall and the best pasty EVER was had here last week. Bacon, Leek and Cheese Pasty! So, so, good! Can't wait to be back in the summer for more! Staff here are lovely. It's very clean and a reasonable amount of indoor seating. It gets busy at peak times but that tells you all you need to know. It's the best place to eat.

The Big Fish
Fore St, TintagelDropped in here just before they closed (sorry!) after a tiring 6-hour drive. The owners were very welcoming and the food was delicious. My son loved his kebab and the rest of us enjoyed really fresh cod with a light crispy batter and generous portions of chips. Mushy peas were perfect (this from Mancunians! Connoisseurs of ‘Manchester caviar) !! Highly recommended
