The Turks Head
49 Chapel St, PenzanceGreat location along a cute historic street. It's a very busy bar area with tables scattered around. We had pre-booked online, so had a small table reserved in the back. Our waitress was awesome, helping me to choose a meal that would keep me safe from a capsicum allergy. She ran up and down the stairs to the kitchen to consult the chef, several times.
Our food was served within short time, and was very good. I had chosen the chicken schnitzel with seasonable vegetables as a side dish.
This is a great spot to enjoy dinner in a historic pub. And great that it is open on Monday night when many others are closed.

Wharf house, Wharf Rd, PenzanceOk so I’m a wee bit late with this one but still had to do it. We diverted from the burgers which we think are amazing and tries a pizza instead. We ordered a 12’’ Mexicain pizza and oh my days that was good. Plenty of toppings and the jalapeño Was left nice and chunky which was good it you like hot food. The only thing I would say is as it’s not mozzarella but cheddar on the top is that when it cools the cheese does start to set … eat fast lol. But overall it was really good. Thanks guys.

Admiral Benbow
46 Chapel St, PenzanceThis is a very entertaining pub in which to enjoy dinner. The place is filled with pirate-like decor unlike nothing I've seen before.
I enjoyed the mushroom penne, and decided to splurge for the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. It might be the best I've tried. Delectable!
I could easily find a meal that would accommodate my capsicum allergy, unlike a couple of other places where we dined. The waitress was helpful in confirming my choice regarding my allergy.
Dinner came quickly, and it's obvious that they do try to move people through the restaurant quickly to seat as many people as possible in an evening. But we never felt rushed.
When you book online, you must pay a fee per person that is then subtracted from the total on your bill.
The restaurant is located on a charming historic street not far from the promenade. A lovely and safe are to walk around.

The Boatshed
The Harbour, Wharf Rd, PenzanceMe, my parents, and our two golden retrievers visited the other day and had a great experience. Our waiters Ben and Kareza were very friendly and helpful and didn’t mind that our two dogs took up a lot of space outside when laying down (and were being very awkward as well!) Ben kindly brought the dogs a bowl of water without us asking and gave them a good fuss which they appreciated. Food was great. Just to flag, dogs not allowed inside and the outside space is a little small but would otherwise definitely recommend.

Kid-friendliness: My children were shushed by a rude lady and her daughter. My children are autistic and behaved like angels all the way through their meals. They became slightly excited for their ice cream which I should expect is a normal response for any child. Waves
29 Causewayhead, PenzanceWhilst down in Penzance for the day I gave Waves a try for some lunch.
Good first impressions, very clean and nice feeling. Given the menus, drinks, specials and the main menu.
I decided on two pots of tea, ham egg and chips and scampi and chips.
Got a large pot of tea for two, even though it didn't say that on the menu. No problems though. Ham egg and chips looked great and tasted great. The scampi and chips were nice plenty of scampi but lacking in fries. Personally I would have preferred the chunky chips with the scampi. I did feel the scampi was slightly overpriced to be honest at I believe £15.95.
The total cost for the above was £36.90 !
It seemed expensive for what we had to be honest. Also we asked for some homemade coffee and walnut cake to take away. I was gobsmaked when they asked for another £5.95 for that !
I guess you learn by experience. Overall it was nice but not amazing. Friendly staff, and very clean. But probably wouldn't return purely based on the prices. Give it a go see if I'm right ?

Mounts Bay Pasty Company
8 Market Jew St, PenzanceLovely cafe on Market Jew Street just up from the harbour. Originally popped in looking for a Cornish Pasty but then got distracted by breakfast
Options were for Small, Large, and Extra Large. I stuck in the middle instead of choosing the breakfast to match my burgeoning waist line
For £8.75 I was treated to a plate filled with “2 Bacon, 2 Sausage, 2 eggs, 2 hash brown, 2 toast, mushrooms, beans” tomatoes was an option
Alternatively my partner in dine had a more simple plate of Bacon (x3) and Eggs (x2) for just £6.15. I let them have some of my toast, a bit of sausage and a hash brown ?
Very decent breakfast, sausage was excellent, a proper butcher effort. Bacon was cheap but crisped well. Eggs cooked properly although yolks a little pale, generous portion of mushrooms, well prepared beans both standard plate fillers as expected.
Hash browns cheap but crispy, toast a little pale but as used for plate moppage was perfectly acceptable for the job in hand
Definitely would come here again, cheap enough, very friendly and popular amongst the locals which is always a good sign

Pour des prix très abordables pour pourrez y déguster des plats dignes de grands restaurants. Si vous êtes de passage dans la ville et amateur de bonne cuisine, c'est un lieu où il faut absolument vous rendre. Vous ne serez pas déçus!

Cork & Fork
10 Albert St, PenzanceVery friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great quality and quantity fresh seafood and an amazing local white wine. Plating was beautiful and the mostly young and dedicated team took great care of our food and us. The staff really made our evening with their friendly service. The fish was beautifully prepared and fresh and the chef took great care with every ingredient. The open kitchen gave a great view of the young team in the kitchen was working with great dedication. The restaurant had great subtle nautical vibes and was very comfortable environment to dine in. Overall a lovely experience and worth a visit when looking for good quality food and service in Penzance.

Mr Billy's
13-14 Market Pl, PenzanceAlways worth writing a review again as it confirms the constently excellent standards of service and food remain. So many place we have been to, standards have slipped for a variety of reasons. Not here. To produce such great food in such a small kitchen is amazing. The consistency when we were there of the staff ( and owners) is exemplary. Our go to place when in PZ.
