Paul Ainsworth at No6 and Ci Ci's Bar
6 Middle St, PadstowReally nice experience and lovely food.
Just feels a bit too expensive, I am not a rich man but i can understand why they charge the prices they do but for me it is a little overpriced.
Food is great but the service is second to none, really attentive and friendly staff

Prawn on the Lawn
11 Duke St, PadstowGo on. Dare you. See if you can find a better place to relax over lunch in Padstow. In the heart of the town, big enough to have atmosphere. Small enough to be intimate. And the food. O. M. G. The food.
I recommend seven portions of the crushed potatoes. Oh, and the tuna. As pictured here.

Caffè Rojano by Paul Ainsworth
9 Mill Square, PadstowEach time we return to Padstow Rojanos is where we have dinner on night 1. After a long drive it's perfect, pizza or fish it's something for everyone and best of all our dog can come. All the Ainsworth restaurants are amazing and this is no exception.
On this trip we took my mum whose Celiac and hates eating out due to choices. She was given her own full al le carte menu, she says the pizza was the best GF she's ever had. It was welcoming, she wasn't singled out and she had so much choice. Often people with severe intolerances are limited or awkwardly having items pointed out but as always the staff were flawless and she felt comfortable. Thank you, we love it.

Greens Of Padstow
North Quay, PadstowA brilliant location in Padstow. The views are really good, overlooking the Camel estuary and Padstow harbour. We sat outside because we had our dog with us, but is was very nice day and no complaints there. The service was very slow, it took about 15 minutes for our order to be taken, which was just drinks and a cream tea. The most disappointing thing was that they only offer plain scones. Surely most people prefer fruit scones?

Rafferty's Cafe & Winebars
St Merryn, PadstowWhat a find! I never normally give 5 stars, but I just had to for this restaurant. From the moment we stepped in the service was exceptional from ALL the staff. Welcoming, friendly & relaxed. Then the menu surprised us with the range of food, vegan options and carefully crafted dishes. They very easily and expertly catered for our fussy son, by changing a dish to suit and were knowledgeable about all the dishes. Then the food arrived - every plate tasted beautiful. Bold flavours, but also subtle when needed. As a café owner I know how hard it can be to produce consistent good food, train confident staff and cater for all tastes. I think they nailed it. Next time I'm in Cornwall, I'm going again.
Vegetarian options: Veggie and vegan options, both very nice. Staff knowledgeable about ingredients.
Kid-friendliness: The staff were great with the kids and catered for their needs with no problem at all.

Rick Stein
Riverside, PadstowI was not disappointed after waiting a long time to eat here. Living in Australia means I dont get to Cornwall often. Beautiful setting and nice atmosphere friendly, professional staff and wonderful food. Not a huge menu, but delicious and beautifully presented. Lots of tables and not too close, busy but not full on the night i was there. Their take on a Pina Colada was both surprising and delicious.

Harbour Inn, Padstow
Strand St, PadstowThere are many places to eat in Padstow from celebrity chef venues to cafes. The Harbour Inn is a traditional pub and offers good food at reasonable prices. It was well staffed with prompt service. What I really liked as a treat, was the fish and chips using freshly caught fish and chips cooked in beef dripping giving a true 1950s flavour. Also has local (St Austell) pump beers as well as many other beers.
Parking: Parking at Padstow is limited. There are public car parks where you can walk to the harbour from. Blue Badge users will need to pay, as in most Cornwall car parks.

The Cornish Bakery
2A Mill Square, Padstow**The Cornish Bakery - 5/5 Stars**
The Cornish Bakery offers fantastic customer service and even better pastries! I highly recommend their dessert Cornish Pasty—specifically, the Apple Crumble Rhubarb Custard Pasty, which is an absolute treat. This bakery consistently delivers high-quality service across all their locations. After trying the one in Padstow, I've visited other locations, and they’ve all been delicious. Plus, they’re one of the few places that offer truly tasty vegetarian pasties!
I’m eagerly waiting for them to open a branch in Nottingham so I can enjoy their offerings more often. Please keep me posted when you do open!

Rick Stein's Café
10 Middle St, PadstowWe had a very pleasant evening here. The food was actually exceptionally good. Although I didn't get the lobster, which I was really looking forward to, as it was out, I was very pleased with the alternative programme. Crab linguine as a starter, and sea bass as a main course. Really recommendable! The service was a pleasant mix of professional and casual. Prices more than reasonable. I would happily return!

Stein's Fish & Chips
Unit 1 S Quay, PadstowVery popular place lots of people waiting for fish and chips so a little wait. Batter was absolutely gorgeous as was the fish and chips were chips.
Obviously a local delicacy for the seagulls as they were trying to peck through the window to get them, so be warned they are nasy things there. Other than that, Padstow is a lovely place to visit also

Malcolm Barnecutt Bakery St Merryn
St Merryn, PadstowA fantastic little bakery in the heart of St Merryn.
Staff were happy and offered loads of options, quick service and a smile.
The baked goods there were absolutely to die for too. The builders bap is probably one of my favourite breakfast baps ever and that's coming from somebody who lives all the way up near London.

Coastal Cafe • Treyarnon
Treyarnon Bay, PadstowWhat a fantastic little unit, located in the car park for Treyarnon Bay. They serve a wide variety of tasty drinks and a good selection of food.Whilst much of the items are ever popular holiday fare such as bacon baps, burgers, and cheesy chips, they also serve more interesting stuff too. For me the star of the show is the superfood salad with hot halloumi. It’s delicious! They don’t keep too many in stock per day (they pre-prepare most of it) so I made sure I ordered not long after they started serving the lunch menu.Sit overlooking the stunning bay or on the beach and enjoy fantastic food.

Roskilly's Ice Cream
S Quay, PadstowI don't eat ice cream but when on holiday in Cornwall it's a must! The mint choc chip was delicious, and my partner enjoyed the cornish golden fudge. Even our daughter who won't eat ice cream gave them both a lick! ☺️

Harbour Ice Cream
N Quay, PadstowThe ice cream overall was quite good. However, it was extremely extremely expensive and overpriced, some can be made up for its area which drives up the price around all the shops, but the price for the ice-cream was just generally unreasonable. Adding on, ice-cream scoops are small and ungenerous ESPECIALLY for the price. Would personally make sure to consider alternative options as well when making any decision to get ice-cream here. Also can often get quite a queue. Due to their location they benefit from the tourism in Padstow and classical desire for ice-cream. Service was also so so.

5 N Quay Parade, PadstowCome to Padstow every couple of months and have never eaten here, so thought we'd give Sunday lunch a go. Restaurant upstairs was about half full, but only 1 waitress was on (Ellie) she was working so hard taking the orders, bringing out food and clearing plates... but did so with a smile on her face the whole time. The Sunday lunch was fairly good in value for the price. Roast Pork was really well cooked and tasty, and the potatoes /yorkshires were lovely, veg a bit underwhelming, but on the whole, we were happy with our meal and would eat here again.

Old Custom House, Padstow
S Quay, PadstowGreat location right in Padstow harbour with pay and display car parks nearby. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean with all of the expected amenities including 2 cans of the local lager waiting for our arrival. The only downside would be the room was quite small but I think that's the norm in these locations. Never ate here in the evening as we had always planning on eating in Rick Steins nearby restaurant but the breakfast the next morning was good. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area.
