What amazing, friendly helpful staff! My parents were visiting Newquay for the week from London, and I wanted to surprise them with cakes where they were staying. I am in London myself, so I contacted the ladies here and they were fantastic! They even delivered the cakes free of charge for me to the hotel and added a few little extras for mum and dad x I can’t thank you enough Kelly xx

What a fabulous breakfast and delicious coffee and n such an inviting atmosphere. Polished concrete floors and comfy cafe chairs well worth a visit when you’re in town!

WAX Newquay Activity Bar

My family and I had our first experience of Axe throwing today at WAX Newquay. Our instructor Sam was so friendly and very knowledgeable. We felt really comfortable with the instructions we were given and the tips he was able to give based on our throws on how to achieve better were spot on. Highly recommend this as both a family activity (over 12) or a group trip out. We never tried the food, so we are unable to review that on this occasion.

Travelled from Kent for our favourite Fish N Chips. 500 plus miles round trip, thank you so much once again Definitely the BEST Fish N Chips Even mentioned you on Heart Dance

Graze Tapas Wine Bar

This place is an absolute gem ? Not only is the food amazing but the staff and the service levels are second to none ? They couldn’t have made our evening anymore perfect - This is best tapas we’ve ever experienced for sure and thoroughly recommend a visit if you’re in the area ❤️ x

The Pheasant

Had an absolutely amazing meal here with my hubby whilst on holiday in the area, the food was delicious, very good quality and tasty, service was great, very friendly staff, can't fault a thing. We both had meals from the specials board, I had the chicken supreme and husband had the steak and ale pie where he changed the mash to chips which was no problem. Husband said it was the best pie he's had in ages really tasty filling with really tender meat and the shortcrust pastry that surrounded the pie was lovely too. Choose this pub through the already good Google reviews so here's another. If we holiday in the area in the future we'll be sure to return!

Sushea

Ever since I first had the jackfruit roll, I legitimately cannot stop thinking about it. It is constantly on my mind, I even dream about it sometimes. It’s possibly the best sushi I’ve ever had, be warned it will take over your life and the sole purpose to anything you do: your pay check will suddenly be divided by 4.5 to tell you how many rolls your can afford.

Red Lion Newquay

Ash was having his first night on the job and was very attentive to us. Other than the meals being a bit slow, everything was good. Good job Ash, and we are sure you will be successful in your job ??

Treffry Tavern Table Table

After a long 12-hour drive, we stumbled into Treffry Tavern from our hotel, exhausted—but Dean completely turned our night around. His energy, friendliness, and great service were exactly what we needed. He made us feel welcome and brought a great vibe to our evening. Highly recommend stopping by, and if you’re lucky, Dean will be the one serving you!

Caffè Nero

Service and atmosphere is great! It's now my go to pit stop on morning walks! I've got to be careful as I would eat 10 apricot croissants a visit if I could but have to survive on 1 a week, they are amazing!

Zaman's restaurant

Went there for dinner today. Everything was really as tasty as others have reported. Absolutely top, great taste, you don't want your plate to be empty. Very good service, would be happy to come again. Our best Indian food we've ever had in Europe.

Pizza Express

Great vegan options. Really pleased that Pizza Express is back on the Taste Card it means I can visit more often

Dietary restrictions: Great vegan choices but it would be helpful if the wines were labelled as vegetarian / vegan.

Steam Bar at the Great Western Hotel

Great piece to have a drink, merry friends, or watch the sun go down. Just on the edge of town, not far from the Premier Inn. Reasonable prices for drinks. Give it a go.

The Living Space

What a superb spot for a day out. Located right near the beach. Open spacious restaurant with wonderful views of the beach and ocean. Food delicious, staff helpful, friendly, service orientated. A must if you have visitors or looking to do something different.

Walkabout

I thought chips were cold but lads thought they were ok. Put them in my curry and they were ok. Great service. Quiet compared to how I expected. Love the sea view and outside tables.

The Fistral Stable

Came here for dinner. Hadnt booked so there was a wait, but sat near the bar while we waited. Good service and nice pizza
Expresson martini was very nice.

Catch Seafood, Bar & Grill

Lovely night out at the catch. Great atmosphere and excellent service. Lovely food too!

Vegetarian options: Good veggie options, loved the veggie fish and chips. The batter was excellent, not too greasy.

Victoria Restaurant & Cocktail Bar

Called in today as we saw a 2 for 1 pizza deal. had really lovely service, polite attentive and helpful. we ordered 2 meat feast pizzas and hot drinks. Really tasty pizza! would recommend!

Zacry's Restaurant

After a recent move from the main hotel building, Zacry’s now occupies the space vacated by Emily Scott’s restaurant (and formally ‘Watchful Mary’). It’s a stunning venue literally on the sea shore- with diners feeling as if they are almost hovering above the surf. Amazing in winter and I would imagine summer sunsets will add another memorable layer to this experience. The open kitchen ensures that the hard work and attention to detail of the chef’s team are on display. Interesting without being noisy or intrusive. We started with Smoky Beet cocktails which were sensational. Highly recommend! The food and service were impeccable. We loved the charred leeks and the scallop starters. Would also recommend the Lions Mane, Newlyn Hake and Cornish pork chop from the menu we had. Desserts were also great - we chose the panna cotta which was light, flavourful and delicious and the Cornish fairings. Great! The service was friendly and attentive and made for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We will return!

Well it hasn't changed in almost 30 years, not sure if that is good or bad ??‍♂️ service was difficult even in October so expect summer to be difficult ?

Some of the best food I've ever had at a restaurant.

We got seated by a really friendly member of staff who took the time to explain to us typically people have 2-3 small plates each, so we shared 5.

The selection is great for anyone and the pricing not too bad.

Cannot wait to visit again!

Rebellion Roast House

Walked in and the restaurant was packed and we had not booked. It would have been so easy for the waitress (Paige) to turn us away but instead she was incredibly accommodating and found us a table. Not only that, but she made the time to provide excellent customer service despite obviously being very busy. The food itself was amazing, but the thing we left happiest with was the service. Credit where it’s due!

THE BAY CAFE

We fancied an ice cream after having food so popped into this place.. ice cream was so nice, so was the service. The lady who served us was a genuine, nice lady. She was so nice to my 5 year old. We sat upstairs which was a nice surprise. There was so much for the kids to do, they had chalk and a chalk board, some colours and Cute little baskets on the tables to entertain the kids.. overall a lovely place.Kid-friendliness: Lovely little place for the kids to enjoy their ice cream (even better for the adults to enjoy their ice cream as the kids are occupied)

Woody's Bar

Aways had a great meal and the service is very good Atmosphere could let it down a little and there is a sealed window that needs replacing but still a great place to go and enjoy a meal

Atlantic View Cafe

Nice place to eat ,drink a cup of tea whilst looking out over the bay.
Staff are very polite and accommodating .
Breakfasts were tasty especially the sausages ?.

Fort Inn

Popped in for a swift half , and the normal warm welcome sadly lacking. Got the feeling that the person who served me would rather be somewhere else . And a short measure. For the first time in here not impressed

McDonald's

3 stars for atmosphere but what atmosphere does one expect from a Mc Donald's?
I would advise checking your order before you drive away as they have got it wrong on more occasions than I'm happy with.
Oh and the milkshakes are only available half the time, otherwise a pretty standard Maccies.

Costa Coffee

Pretty much the same as most other costas except this one seems under staffed. They tried their best but the wait for drinks was a little longer than I would expect and I didn't see anyone clean off any tables the whole time we were there. This was during the school summer holidays I should point out to be fair.

Indian Summer

What a gem of a place. Beautiful, mouthwatering food and excellent service. Can highly recommend.

Turkish Kitchen

I've eaten here 4 times in the last month. Every time I've had excellent service, great food (especially the moussaka) and never left feeling hungry!
Great food and it's clear the staff work hard to give good service.
Way better than any chain you can go to in Newquay!

Wah Hing

Honestly best takeaway place I have ever tried while being on holiday to Cornwall and with no doubt I would spend four hours driving back just to try more of their foods.
Plus the workers were very nice and welcoming but the food is immaculate!!

Good vibes, great views. Bring a big appetite!

First off, this place is a hostel as well as a bar/restaurant and we didn't stay there but it's great for a visit for a few drinks on the terrace and some food.

Big portions of wings, stacked burgers that are generous. Pretty good quality and you can order from their app to the table.

Service is spot on even when busy.

Ordered at front counter they and they were well mannered. They were very helpful with my complicated order and the food was fresh and was with me within 3 mins.

The Cornish Coffee Bean

Run by a lovely , very friendly couple who serve fantastic breakfasts/lunch/coffees and milkshakes. Highly recommend!

Just finished walking our dogs on the beach and noticed the coffee hut was open, which made our day thanks ladies wonderful coffee and such lovely and friendly service ☺️ we will be back.

El Huichol / Pachanga - Mexican Streetfood

Holy shmokes, eat at this place. What a find! The most delicious Mexican food. The best meal we have had in a long time! Something different, fresh, great staff and just absolutely delicious. Our only complaint is it was too more-ish, we couldn’t stop ordering more! Definitely worth popping a tip jar on the bar :)

Saa Thai Takeaway

We got our portions and ate them overlooking the sea sat on benches on the green beside the Aquarium. Generous portions of Pad Thai and Pad Kae Mao, tasted perfect, just like we ate in Thailand, and served by cheerful staff.

Amazing fish and Chips never let me down. Every time if I want fish and Chips this is the place I always recommend ? ? the staff are friendly good food the place is clean and tidy . This is the best ? ? ?

Nile Bakery

Had breakfast at St Austell Niles bakery yesterday. Really good food. Great service. Staff were very friendly. Atmosphere lovely Young chap came in whose birthday it obviously was and everyone sang Happy birthday to him. Really nice touch

Tai Sing Take Away

I was super poorly last week and fancied my favourite takeaway Chinese which is Tai Sing !
They were so sweet and put a note saying "Get Well Soon" and put me two Fortune Cookies in with my food.

Myself and my partner absolutely loved this place when we had our couple night away! Staff and locals made us feel welcome, drinks were reasonably priced and the atmosphere was fantastic for a Sunday evening! Will definitely be back!

Bodrum Kebab House

Ordered meal despite reviews. Was supposed to be delivered within 75 mins but arrived in 45 (we were a good distance away) ... noone else would deliver. Price is reasonable. Chicken doner wrap is amazing.

Lovely little unpretentious cafe, bit expensive but great views over Crantock. Best millionaire shortbread I've had in years and good coffee too. Staff were friendly. Would go back.
