Altarnun, LauncestonLovely evening in the Bar last night. Best meal I’ve had this year and the chef really nailed veggie flavours. The goats cheese ravioli was super yummy and the panacotta pretty awesome too. Camped overnight which was also super convenient with electric hook up and hot showers. Just need better weather next time. We will be back

The Springer Spaniel
Treburley, LauncestonVisited here in August 2024 to meet some family that we hadn't seen for a long time. We had a lovely visit, the doggo was welcomed and given a delicious treat so she was very happy. We were seated in the snug and it was a lovely little area, there were board games which the little one enjoyed. Food was fabulous and actually reasonably priced, some things didn't come out in time but this was discounted off of the bill at the end as a sorry from the staff. Staff were top tier, nothing was too much trouble for them and they were very friendly, polite and professional. Would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.

5 Southgate St, LauncestonRed Chair and all its staff are a real credit to Launceston but the best way to sum up our feelings as a family of five ranging in age from teenagers to pensioners with a mix of vegans to carnivores is that we go there every week and are never dissapointed.

21 Westgate St, LauncestonThey don’t do food anymore but they let us have a takeaway here and just overall really friendly. The locals are funny as well. Just an overall welcoming pub. Was actually nice to not go somewhere full of tourists… despite being a tourist. Lovely to meet the friendly locals. 100% recommend.

14 Newport Square, LauncestonGreat pub. Tasty food. Good price. Staff are friendly too. Clean and tidy tables. They also have a function room to hold parties etc. The bar area has a pool table and darts too. Lovely place.

The Moat Restaurant at The Eagle House
3 Castle St, LauncestonEaten here before, several times had Sunday lunch. Thought we would try evening meal which was very enjoyable. Shared a couple of starters, followed by steaks, which were cooked to perfection. Staff always friendly, will be back soon.

Pizza and kebab are just amazing, staff -very friendly people aways smile ?.
Cleanless- After we try and see all the takeaway shops I would say Yummies not make any compromise with hygiene-very clean place .
Delivery -sometimes order and delivery comes only for 10min-fast delivery
Prices - they are cheapest in town and produce quality food and service ?

Launceston Retail Park, Hurdon Road Launceston Foodhall, Hurdon, LauncestonThis is the only store that we use to do our food shop and travel from Okehampton at least once a week.The staff are all extremely friendly, cheerful and helpful. The store is clean, tidy and well stocked. There is a good range of products, all of superior quality and great value. We won't entertain shopping anywhere else and the fact that Okehampton has, what could be classed as a competing supermarket but we still travel to Launceston must say something about how good M & S Launceston is.Thank you!

The Coffee Pot
White Hart Arcade, 10 Madford Ln, LauncestonA great breakfast menu, in this small and quiet joint. It was well priced with a friendly service.
My only two qualms, would be that I hope the ketchup is changed soon, unfortunately it was watery & low quality which meant I barely used this game changing condiment.
One further thing, the burger buns that were provided with the breakfast bap, fell apart.
These small setbacks will not be enough to prevent me visiting again.

Costa Coffee
Unit 1D, Launceston Retail Park, Hurdon Rd, LauncestonGood old Costa, you more or less know what you're going to get. This one is often handy for me, usually has a good range of food, and they're usually efficient at serving up the coffee. High ceiling in this unit makes it feel airy and spacious.
Parking: Free parking though limited time.
