Restaurants in Fowey

Appleton's Bar & Restaurant
19 Fore St, FoweyExcellent Italian food and top quality service.
Dog friendly which was fantastic.
Make their own pasta with a bronze dye. Squid linguine with crab was packed full of flavour. The selection of non alcoholic cocktails was excellent. Wish we could have had a pudding, but we'd only just eaten a cake from the bakery. Next time we will!
Pricey lunch, but you get what you pay for, and this was special.
Highly recommended.

Havener's, Fowey
Town Quay, FoweyA very comfortable room and friendly, efficient staff. We ate at the restaurant on both of the two nights we were staying and both meals were excellent. Breakfasts were also top notch.
Food and drinks: The evening menu is small, but varied and interesting. All meals we had were well-presented and very tasty. Plenty of breakfast options and the full English is enough to set most people up to last until the evening.

The Dwelling House at Fowey
The Dwelling House, 6 Fore St, FoweyVisited here with our 5 year old, amazing little place! Exceptional service and lovely food. Definitely different to most of the other places in Fowey! We shared the small plates, all great- I’d recommend the Indonesian meatballs & halloumi dish. This place is a hidden gem! Thank you for a fab meal.

Brown Sugar
2 South St, FoweyFantastic selection for breakfast!
Dairy free pancakes and Milkshake! Plenty of vegetarian and vegan choices. Food came fast and all together. Would definitely recommend and come back again. Everything was awesome.
Vegetarian options: There was plenty of choices for vegetarian and vegan. I wanted something on the menu that came with Bacon, they were very happy to remove the bacon for me.
Dietary restrictions: My step mum has a lactose allergy and was pleased to see dairy free pancakes and milkshakes on the menu.
Parking: We were lucky to get a space in a small carpark nearby. You may have a walk if parking elsewhere.

Sam's Fowey
20 Fore St, FoweyWe were super hungry since we didn't have lunch and I was craving scallops. Unfortunately there were none on the menu or the daily special. I asked anyway and got lucky. The food was very good and we would like to come back.
Parking: Parking in Fowey is rather difficult. You should plan on walking for at least 10 minutes and take the terrain into account.

Old Quay House Restaurant
The Old Quay House Hotel, 28 Fore St, FoweyWe had a lovely cream team at the Old Quay House in May 2024, sitting outside in the sunshine overlooking the boats. The service was quick, the atmosphere calm but very friendly, and I felt super comfortable breastfeeding my baby. Our server was so helpful. The scones and clotted cream were plentiful. Great place to visit next time you’re in Fowey.

Lazy Jacks
4 Webb St, FoweyA cosy little shop with friendly staff and some of the most yummy ice cream we've ever had. They serve enormous scoops in crunchy cones. We decided against adding flakes to delude ourselves we were being calorie conscious.
We enjoyed the salted caramel and rhubarb, vanilla, blackberry and chocolate flavours.

Harbour Hotel Fowey
Esplanade, FoweyGood hotel in Fowey. Note parking is an issue and one needs to pre book a space. Cost £12.50 per day.
We had a good room with view over the river. Food was very good.
Note they add a 12.5% service charge to food and drink. Thought this over the top!

Roly's Fudge Pantry
21 Fore St, FoweyLovely staff and delicious fudge! I was recommended by a friend so I decided to pop in. They had a variety of flavours available in bags or by weight. We tried some christmas pudding fudge and had to buy it. They even offered us a few free bags of fudge that “weren’t good enough to sell” (they were absolutely delicious though!!) 10/10 Would recommend ??

North Street Kitchen
55 North St, FoweyThis place is AMAZING. It’s has a very relaxed vibe. Sharing plates and tables ( Small tables were available) You need to check ahead for opening times as it changes throughout the seasons. We couldn’t book, but again that changes depending on when you go.
It’s a small plate sharing menu of locally sourced , seasonal food. Cooked in front of you by very chilled chefs. The staff were lovely, and genuinely looked happy to be there.
The food was exceptional!! You could taste every single ingredient. The mussels were so fresh! The Focaccia was warm and oily( as it should be) but for us it was the squash, kale and Cornish feta that was the WOW!
Cornish feta needs to be tried by EVERYONE.
I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Well done.

Fowey Fish and Chips
Webb St, FoweyVery happy with the battered sausage! It was really nice and very crispy when we got it. Chips are good and in a very generous portion. The guy made our battered sausage right after we placed the order and crust was really nice. Very good value for money.
