Windjammer Cafe & Bar
Cafe & Bar, The Windjammer, 7 Grove Place, FalmouthCalled in here for a morning coffee and feeling a bit peckish thought a slice of toast or tea cake or something similar would be good. It isn't that sort of place but when we saw the cinnamon french toast on the menu decided on that. What we expected was a couple of pieces of toast, what we got was a stack of cinnamon toast 'fingers' almost jenga style! Definitely unexpected and so tasty glad this was the choice. It filled us up for the rest of the day! From the look of the other breakfasts that were being served, you won't be left hungry whatever you order. Friendly and welcoming staff, would recommend and will be back.

We had dinner for 4, the food was all very good. I didn't like ordering at the bar and paying first as when you want to order more you're paying all the time.
We were also sat next to a very loud table, very loud but I don't believe this would be a regular thing.

Arwenack St, FalmouthWe visited this place for the first time on our Cornwall road trip. Our experience was good. We ordered cod and chips; the cod was very good, and we were happy with the size of the fish. Then we ordered haddock and chips, which were also good. We also got some calamari, which were good as well. Got some of the tartare sauce. It was okay, not the best one I've ever had. Overall, we enjoyed our food with the nice view over the sea.

CJ's At The Sanctuary
School hill, budock water,Falmouth, FalmouthA recommendation afforded to us as somewhere to be able to have gluten-free dining. We were not disappointed.
Friendly, smiling staff, despite being short-staffed started our visit off wonderfully.
The building itself has character, as I believe that it was previously a church, and is also spacious. Large tables for three people or more are available to sit at.
The Sanctuary was buzzing with chitter-chatter, but not to the point of being loud. It seems to very popular amongst the local community, and it is definitely something that needs to be booked.
As we knew what we wanted, we ordered the roast, only to provided with three options; small (one meat selection), medium (2 meats) and yes, you guessed it, large, which is 3 meats. It comes with a decent-sized Yorkshire pudding and roast spuds. The platter provided had a gravy boat, brimming with gravy made on site, roasted carrots, carrot/swede mixed mash, red cabbage, broccoli, parsnip & cauliflower cheese. And it was quite possibly the best roast dinner outside of the home environment that I've ever had.
The staff knew more about dietary restrictions than at any other restaurant I've been to. They didn't just lump an allergen sheet our way, but went through what could and couldn't be done. The chef has a gluten free son, which meant every care had been taken to ensure that foods were made specifically like that.
The only downside is a lack of available parking, but that isn't strictly the restaurants fault.
Amazing value for money. We finished at around 14:45 and only at 08:30 the next morning am I getting hungry!
Definitely give it a look!

Kynance Cove Cafe
HelstonReally great little cafe! The staff are lovely, service reasonable and their coffee excellent. Their carrot cake was an absolute dream and all!
Also realllly love their recyclable cups, not seeing what some others have expressed in difficulty drinking from them. I would argue they are the easiest takeaway cups to drink from, environmentally friendly and leak proof it seemed (drinking from snap on lid cups theres almost always a leak from them)
I think particularly because they are so freaking busy, some of the more negative reviews have failed to realise you get what you give. Respect the staff and the stress theyre under and theyre absolutely lovely... They have a limited staff capacity and they serve each and every vulture that comes in and they do it to the best of their ability. Iove them, and their cafe!

Planted Café
Planted 45, Church St, FalmouthAmazing little cafe, such a lovely atmosphere and the friendliest and most welcoming staff. Food was brilliant, we had the chorizo panini - matcha latte was excellent as was the biscoff latte. We don’t live local but will definitely be back if we visit again :)

Maenporth Beach Cafe
Maenporth Rd, Maenporth, FalmouthGreat spot on the beach for a coffee and a bacon sarnie. Their coffee is ok, it's from a machine not an espresso machine, but their food is incredible. Pull up a spot on the picnic benches or plant yourself in the sand on the beach.

Ferry Boat Inn
Helford Passage, FalmouthI dropped in for a pint of cider following a long walk across the coastal path with my dog. I got served really quickly, the staff were friendly, and I managed to find a table outside, which was surprising given how popular this lovely little pub is. I would definitely return again.

The Chic Pea
28 Arwenack St, FalmouthPossibly the best takeaway in Falmouth for value and quality of food for the price. We got the Khobez wraps, my partner got falafel and aubergine, and I got beef and halloumi. Both came packed with ingredients, full of flavour, and make for a nice big serving while still feeling good for your gut. Highly recommend!
