BudeAn excellent little Coffee House. Located just off the main street up an alleyway, this place is a little gem! Wonderful helpful staff, menu small but very good. Budda Bowl recommended if hungry, sausage role was excellent, toberlerone cake very chocalatty). Tea's and Coffees of a high quality. It's not very often I give 5 stars but credit where credit is due, this feedback is well deserved. We'll done to all of you that work there, keep it up!

Chicken and Rum Shack
Tommy Jacks, BudeThe wife and I had the '8' sharing platter. WOW... so many chicken strips and popcorn chicken. Yes, I don't believe it was homemade but the chicken was nevertheless delightful and cooked well. Wasn't over done or tough like strips can be. We couldn't finish it all. We changed our fries to dirty pig fries... AWESOME. The pulled pork was delightful and so tasty.
Now onto the main event... the RUM. What a menu. We made our way through around 8 different rums. A majority local to Cornwall and not your generic rums available in the supermarket although the fo also stock a good variety of dead man's fingers and twin fin.

24 The Strand, BudeWhat a gem! Pizzas were the best I’ve had in a long time time, crispy base, fluffy crust and full of flavour. Got there 10 mins before close and the staff were super friendly with speedy service!

20 Summerleaze Cres, BudeIt was a dark and stormy day when we entered but the sun soon shone! The food was cooked to perfection and the Calzone and the Fish Soup are well recommended. Abutting to the restaurant is a coffee shop with comfy leather style seats and a full bar - both places over look the bay harbour. Parking is possible outside but it’s quite busy. Best to park in the town and walk up.

The Falcon Hotel, Breakwater Rd, BudeHad amazing food and great service. The staff were all amazing and couldn't do enough for us. Food and drinks were priced reasonably, and there was plenty of choice to suit every taste. Great place to eat.

Breakwater Rd, BudeNice atmosphere inside. Service was a bit mixed, with the staff bluntly refusing my request for a Negroni, and offering me lager instead. I don't understand why, as I definitely saw campari and gin behind the bar...Aside from a few moments like that, it was good. The food was tasty and good value.Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly, they provided two highchairs and didn't grumble about occasional disruption...

Whalesborough, BudeWe went to the Weir tonight for dinner, not knowing what to expect but oh my goodness we were in for a treat. The service was excellent, the food well what can we say was by far the best we have had since being in Cornwall. Sent our compliments to the chef. My husband had the chicken liver pate and I had rhe smoked salmon with chilli and lime mayo plus bread and pesto. Then we both had the belly pork on a potato cake with red cabbage and black pudding with a jus, this was just the BEST. We then had biscof sundae and white chocolate cheesecake, absolutely beautiful. Dined in as was rather plush inside.
The food was really tasty and nicely presented.
The staff were very nice and friendly.
We also decided our next stay in Cornwall will be in Bude as we love the Canalside.
Well worth taking lunch on the Barge.

A modern decorated bar with a great atmosphere. Live music, dart board a small outside seating area too. Bring in your own food too.

Superb friendly service, great atmosphere, deals, bands, drinks, food, hot chocolate is amazing, coffee is incredible, very reasonably priced, they were even happy to serve a snakebite and black, couldn't want for more. Plenty of room, location and view from the outside seating area is glorious, whatever the weather it's a little gem.

BudeBought a couple of waffle cone ice creams and sat outside on their small terrace. I had clotted cream and fudge which was delicious. Lovely friendly service and very clean. So many fabulous flavours to chose from.

The Mermaid Takeaway
2 Princes St, BudeMyself and wife had a take away from The Mermaid last night. The two ladies serving were brilliant, allowed me to try the Irish curry sauce which was so good. They served with a smile and were super helpful. We got home to the most amazing fish and chips, the cod was so tender and chips cooked perfectly. One of the best fish and chips takeaway I have ever had. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Castle, BudeLovely location with sea views from conservatory. Staff friendly and helpful and the food was reasonably priced and good. After lunch wandered around the free museum that is attached, very enjoyable.
Vegetarian options: Chilli with either jacket potatoes or rice was very good. There were other options.

The staff often work at an almost frenzied pace, it make me tired just watching them! Haven't eaten there, so I can't comment on the food.

The Deck
19 Summerleaze Cres, BudeVisited on Tuesday 15th October and had 2 meals on the £27 deal and a kids meal. All of the food was excellent but sadly let down by the drinks. Both pints were flat and the beer had the that funky smell you sometimes get with beer when lines need cleaned.
Would've stayed for a couple more drinks but decided to give it a miss.

Beach House B&B & The Break Bar

The flavours are authentic and the seafood is the star of each dish but complimented with subtle but outstanding flavours and spices. However if seafood is not your thing they also have you covered. Check this place out you really won’t be disappointed.

Crooklets Inn, Crooklets, Bude1st October 2024
Good little bar, restaurant, cafe, ice cream parlour and beach equipment vendor right on the sea front. Have live music sometimes. Haven't tried the food but it looks good. Local caught lobster was on the menu one day but had sold out by the time we arrived so maybe get there early. Again we will be back.
