Dog friendly allowed to have the dog with us at the table,( some places only let you seat in certain areas) not the case here.
Food was very good proper steak and ale pie.
Good size portion. Owner and staff attentive asking if we were comfortable and would our dog like any treats.

Rhind St, BodminA very welcoming restaurant, with a contemporary and relaxed atmosphere. Staff very friendly and attentive, felt very much at home. Menu is amazing, with equal vegan choices to none vegan choices. Food portions are great and we were stuffed afterwards.
Highly recommend a visit here, the food is plentiful and flavoursome with fresh and tasty ingredients.

Bodmin Chicken House
27 Honey St, BodminOrdered the chicken sheesh with chips. Chips were average but the chicken sheesh was amazing! We ordered 4 small and they were enough to feed our family of 8. The chicken was cooked perfectly and tasted lovely. Went for garlic sauce and it delicious, just the right amount of sauce accompanied with the generous amount of salad. Would have liked a little more tomato but that's a personal preference. The only downside was the wait for the food at the counter but that's probably due to the large order. Other than that, the food was delicious and highly recommend.
Parking: We went at 9 so parking wasn't an issue. Lots of cars come and go. I imagine in the day there would be timings for parking and not that many bays but if someone is in the car waiting then you can park anywhere on tbe side, there's plenty of space.

Both were really good and the portion size was fantastic. - Something that is becoming more of a rarity these days. We were both full for ages afterwards. Dog friendly in the bar area and booking advised. Good, welcoming service
Vegetarian options: Nut roast option on Sundays and the chef checked whether a Yorkshire pudding was desired or not.

We thought it was a nicely decorated, cosy and welcoming place to eat and you could see that there are lots of regulars popping in which is always a good sign. We’ll definitely come back when we’re next in town.

Quality of the food was excellent, couldn't fault it in any way! The only real let down was the portion on the fish, whilst cooked properly and very tasty it was what you would class as a small I'd say. Other than that everything was perfect!

Bodmin Jail Hotel, Scarlett's Well Rd, BodminJust got back from a night away at Bodmin Jail Hotel. It was a treat for my wife’s 40th. We both had a fantastic time. Couldn’t fault anything. The rooms were lush including one of the best bathrooms we’ve seen. We had dinner and breakfast which was also fantastic. We also did the jail experience the following morning which added to the whole experience. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

Only downside they don't offer starters or desserts , which is a shame as hubby lives a starter and I love a dessert....be great to add a few to the menu

St Tudy, BodminOn Saturday the 16th of September we called in to have a look round and the changes that the new owners of the park have done is very good.We use to come to hengar manor every year for 2 weeks in September but noticed that it was going down hill. The last time we stayed was 2015. The place was looking shabby and seemed as it was not loved anymore.Well what we saw on Saturday we liked it that much we booked to go back again next year in September for 2 weeks and me and my partner can't wait

5-9 Higher Bore St, BodminI promised staff a 5 star review after their hospitality. A person in our group got far too drunk too quickly and I couldn’t fault the lads on shift that night. It was a busy night, and all they did was constantly check up on her, provide glasses of water despite being busy and even helped me feed her after they stopped cooking for the night.

The food was lovely, very well done to the chef. 15 meals, all served at exactly the same time, all hot, and all really lovely. The serving team were brilliant and so friendly, particularly Jane. We had such a good evening, thank you.
We had looked at several hotels, when looking to book this celebration meal, and were so glad that we chose Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club :).

2 miles from, Pendoggett, Port IsaacWith so many local places closed down for the winter it was a relief to find a pub open and serving food. It was a bonus to find an initiative in place offering reduced food on a Thursday, though I don’t know how long this initiative will be running for. The food was average, perfectly edible but not of restaurant quality. The beer was good and there were plenty of tables to choose from. We’d visit this place again if we were in the area.
