I had my wedding reception at Rookery Hall. Catherine our wedding coordinator was amazing from day 1. keiran and his team looked after us on the day they couldn't do enough for us and our guests nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing so many compliments. The wedding breakfast setup was beautiful and the grounds just stunning!

Having already had many great meals in this lovely old pub, I have just had a celebration in the Black Lion with 15 friends. Despite ordering different items from the menu, remarkably all the food managed to come at the same time. All the food we had was excellent. There’s always a great choice of real ale here.\n\nBest of all were the staff, who were all very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I have had a lot of very good feedback from my friends and will definitely be coming back soon.

Thank you to the whole team for a fabulous Mothers day. You made our lunch extra special accommodating our two dogs and daughter's special food request, the calamari was a huge hit! The atmosphere was perfect, food delicious and the team were attentive and welcoming. We love it here and will be back soon!

We had an amazing time at this fish and chips shop! The food was fresh, crispy, and absolutely delicious — some of the best fish and chips we’ve ever had. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick. Our whole family loved it, even the kids! It was a great experience from start to finish. We'll definitely be back

Lovely ice cream the best in the area, the only thing I would say the ice cream we last had was so small it barely came over the cone I had to ask for her to put more on, I can remember when the servings were a good size now it depends on who serves you on the size you get, they all vary considerably

First time visiting since it's been renovated. Great service, I wanted a Southern Fried Chicken Burger with Fries which wasn't on the menu, the server who came to take the other orders on our tables on hearing me say this offered to check with the kitchen to see if they could do it for me! Which i was quite astounded by really, not had that before. \nShe came back and said yep they were happy to do it, Apologies I didn't get the names but this was great service.\nWill definitely go again and would highly recommend .\nThe quality was excellent, no fat or gristle, the chips were not covered in grease, tasted fresh and the chicken burger was big! You did not need a desert.

Called in on the off chance, after visiting Nantwich Sunday afternoon. Luckily the staff, found a table for two straight away. Bar service was excellent and the food was great value piping hot and delivered quickly.
Found all the staff to be really helpful and nothing was to much trouble. Good range of drinks available. ?? And both Sunday lunch and the regular menu had a good choice of food. Will definitely visit again. Thanks to all the helpful staff.

The food in this place is exceptional. We both had bangers and mash with onion gravy it was awesome, reasonably priced and served piping hot. The gravy is to die for !! I had Black Pudding stack that was delicious. Staff always polite, professional and friendly. They have good knowledge of the menu. There is no loud music, no televisions just the murmur of human enjoyment. It became rather hot but our waitress was quick to open a window for us. Can't wait for another bangers and mash.

Recently dropped into Waterside whilst out on a towpath walk one very cold afternoon in January.
One tasty cheese and tomato omelette and two cups of good coffee later left very content.
This place is one of Nantwich's best kept secrets - go there and see for yourself.
Suggest check opening times first and if you don't have time to walk - drive as there is ample free parking !

We were made to feel welcome Friendly staff. Three of us had a lovely lunch. I had scampi , chips and garden peas followed by apple crumble and custard. Husband had burger and fries. Mum had vegetarian chilli and rice. Apple crumble and custard for afterwards Everything was off the lunch time menu apart, from the burger, which was off the main menu and slightly more expensive. We all really enjoyed it, thank you .
