The Plough Shepreth
12 High St, Shepreth, RoystonGreat food, great service, great staff, great choice of food and drink. A proper community pub. A simplified menu so not bamboozled by choice, wine recommendations by the owner Nick are always the better option. Food is seasonal and expertly put together and cooked. There's no stuff on the plate that doesn't need to be there. Waiting staff are attentive and informative. Empty clear plates are always the sign of happy customers..our plates could have gone straight back in the cupboard!

Haynes American BBQ
Coach house hotel, Melbourn, RoystonWe tried this restaurant for the first time and were very impressed. It looks like it has been refurbished and renamed “Flint Cross bar and grill”. The food was delicious- I had a Cheesy Pig burger, which was amazing and my husband was very happy with his half a BBQ chicken. The kids meals were tasty and very substantial too and included a drink in the price. Our kids love playing outside in the play area which is full of lots of fun retro play equipment, plastic vehicles and football goals.

Costa Coffee
Durham Wy, RoystonLove this costa, drive thru service is always quick and the team are mostly very friendly. Great spot as well as there’s no where else for me to stop the whole way from Cambridge to Woking aside from McDonalds that’s 5 minutes down the road.

Melbourn Fish & Chips
58A High St, Melbourn, RoystonI think it's a little unfair that this place has a two star rating from a review that was left well over a decade ago, so here's my opinion as someone who has visited this chippy on numerous occasions recently. I'll start with the general atmosphere- it's only ever been quiet when I've been in to order something, with one or two other people in there at the same time. The prices are average for a chippy in this day and age, and worth it for the portion sizes (which are pretty big compared to other chip shops in I've been to in the past). I can't exactly comment on the parking situation as I don't drive, but there's usually a good amount of space on the pavement nearby- especially if you go during the evening when the area is at its quietest. Overall, this is a nice little place with great service and good food. Would easily recommend to anybody visiting the area.
