This is hands down my favourite restaurant in Ely and I am gutted to say the least. Whilst I’m sure some difficult business decisions have been made for good reasons, it doesn’t make it any easier to accept. I’ve not once had an issue here, the food and drink was always excellent and would like to thank all the staff for their hard work.
Whilst I love an Italian, and I guess it has a slightly wider appeal I do think we have more than enough offerings in Ely. I’d like to point out Bella Italia (the previous tenants at this location) was awful.

We went as a table of 8 for a family members birthday lunch, and from tart to finish the staff looked after us so well.
The caipironha cocktail was amazing, highly recommend! The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere, and the food was so tasty. We were a table of 8 and every dish was outstanding. 100% recommend the tomahawk pil pil!

Unit 8A, ElyWe have a pizza hut near us in kings lynn but yet we drive out of our way to this particular pizza hut because it's hands down the best. Stuffed crust thats actually stuffed with cheese, instead of air. A perfect size crust, not one that takes up half of the pizza and leaves no room for toppings. Not only that their prices and offers are far better, so we take the trip. Sorry we didn't get a picture due to stuffing our face.

26 Fore Hill, ElyWe had an amazing meal tonight at Le Spice. Greeted by Amin and a couple of really attentive staff. We had the mixed starter, was really well presented and tasted amazing. I had an amazing curry and special fried rice and my hubby tried the korai on the recommendation of Amin. Loved our meals and ended up bringing the peshwari naans home as our bellies were so full.
Highly recommend this restaurant.

The Minster is a very welcoming pub offering great entertainment such as weekly quizzes which are both fun and non-competitive, a great selection of readily available board games free for anyone to use and TVs showing all the great sporting events. Friends regularly meet here, it's not just for tourists, as it naturally offers a safe, friendly and professional place to its regulars. In my opinion, it's the staff that work here who make The Minster the fabulous pub it is. The landlady Louise, better known to all her regulars as Lou-Lou, professionally manages The Minster and I believe it's her dedication and kindness that maintains the friendliest, professional Team of staff. They work incredibly well together and are all a credit to Great.uk.pubs. oh and it delivers the best pub-grub in Town.

Staff are attentive and friendly. Nice and quite and the food.. never faltered in all the years I've been eating here. If you love a curry you'll love a nice evening meal here for sure.

The Dining Room at Poets House
40 -44 St Mary's St, ElyFabulous afternoon tea at the Poets House in Ely. We arrived early, no problem, table was sorted quickly and we were seated with some drinks. Afternoon tea is delicious with traditional finger sandwiches of cheese/chutney, smoked salmon, and egg mayo/cucumber. Also a selection of fresh scones with clotted cream and jam and delicious 2 (or 1 in some cases) bite cakes to finish off. Enough to fill you up if you're hungry and a takeaway box for any leftovers as we did.
Great for couples of family's as kids are welcome, some were present at the time we visited and they seemed to indulge(!)
Parking: Plenty of local on street parking depending on the day and surrounding sidestreets also available. We got parked a few minutes walk away no problem on a Saturday afternoon.

W End, ElyOur first visit was last night and we loved the pub! The bartender was very kind, helpful and friendly. Our gin drinks were tasty and the back patio was absolutely beautifully landscaped. If I lived in the area I would become a regular of this pub. Cheers!

1 Silver St, ElyOne of the few real pubs left in Ely, full of charm and character. There is no television, no music, and such is the clientele you don't have to worry about people playing loud videos on their phones. It's one of the few outlets you won't feel like an eccentric to be seen with a newspaper. A pub like this should be cherished.

We had a lovely time. The food and drinks were top quality. The service was great.

Food was tasty but my only negative input is the cost. I had a burger and chips and for the price I would have expected probably having a double patty and not single, I think it was a tad overpriced for a pub burger. I think it should be around £3-4 cheaper for a single patty.
Other than that is was a good nice chilled pub lunch in quiet area with friendly staff.

Unit 2, Leisure Village, Downham Rd, ElyHave had multiple nandos in the location and have always been happy with the food and service. My brother is particularly fussy when I come to his food but has never had a problem here and has always commented on how kind the staff are and how accommodating they are to his particular needs. I would rate this place 6 stars and will definitely be returning when I next get the chance. The chicken is brilliant and the rice is a must!

My husband really enjoys the burgers, and I’m a fan of the chicken—it’s always perfectly grilled and full of flavour. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, even though English isn’t their first language. Prices are very reasonable too. Highly recommend!

Portions are generous and the delivery and standard of presentation and taste is always 110%. Considering it can be months in-between visits the consistency and quality is superb! 108 Lancaster Way, ElyI accidentally found this absolute treasure while searching for a high capacity charger for my electric car. Which charges SUPER fast, btw! The cafe is modern, clean, the staff friendly, the coffee excellent. The cakes are ridiculously good. Lovely seating indoor or outside. Great WiFi too. Highly recommend as a destination café. For aviation enthusiasts, the 115 Squadron memorial sits in the garden. I happily return whenever I visit Ely.

1st class with dietary requirements and a friendly owner who takes time to speak to each patron.
A bit of parking behind the pub and plenty of space along the street.
Oh and no mobile signal…. Bliss
Dietary restrictions: Super detailed information from the owner, very knowledgeable about everything used in the kitchen.
Parking: 6 or so spaces out back, loads of space along the street.

Rumbles Littleport Fish N Chips
33 Main St, Littleport, ElyI've just had the lamb Doner with fresh salad and pitta bread, it's the first time I have had one and it was so delicious... I can highly recommend it, plus the Staff are very friendly, and it's a really fast service. shukran likhidmatik.

62 Silver St, ElyStopped for a quick lunch with the family and found the pub to be nice traditional feel with very friendly staff.
Food was tasty but my only negative input is the cost. I had a burger and chips and for the price I would have expected probably having a double patty and not single, I think it was a tad overpriced for a pub burger. I think it should be around £3-4 cheaper for a single patty.
Other than that is was a good nice chilled pub lunch in quiet area with friendly staff.

Le Spice Indian Restaurant
26 Fore Hill, ElyWe had an amazing meal tonight at Le Spice. Greeted by Amin and a couple of really attentive staff. We had the mixed starter, was really well presented and tasted amazing. I had an amazing curry and special fried rice and my hubby tried the korai on the recommendation of Amin. Loved our meals and ended up bringing the peshwari naans home as our bellies were so full.
Highly recommend this restaurant.
Thanks Amin and team for another tasty meal.

The Old Fire Engine House
25 St Mary's St, ElyGone for years, first went there when I was a young child. The last few visits have all been 5 star, as a fan of fish and game, I’m delighted to have their smoked trout starter and their casserole main, (tends to be pigeon/partridge dependent on the time of year). A large wine list too, really enjoyed the Agua Santa Pinot Noir from Chile with my meal, especially good with the pigeon. Customer service on point too. Would highly recommend as a place to eat in Ely.

42 Annesdale, ElyPerfect location by the river, large pub/restaurant. Tasty food, kids menu, excellent service. Perfect place to have a meal outside watching the boats go by, we'll worth a visit. Parking free but can be difficult when busy. Reccomended.

The Minster is a very welcoming pub offering great entertainment such as weekly quizzes which are both fun and non-competitive, a great selection of readily available board games free for anyone to use and TVs showing all the great sporting events. Friends regularly meet here, it's not just for tourists, as it naturally offers a safe, friendly and professional place to its regulars. In my opinion, it's the staff that work here who make The Minster the fabulous pub it is. The landlady Louise, better known to all her regulars as Lou-Lou, professionally manages The Minster and I believe it's her dedication and kindness that maintains the friendliest, professional Team of staff. They work incredibly well together and are all a credit to Great.uk.pubs. oh and it delivers the best pub-grub in Town.
