Kikis Cafe

I’d probably give a 3.5 star review, but I’ve decided to round up to 4.

The service and atmosphere in here is pleasant and good. Clean tables and pretty decor.

Selection of food is also very good, although our first two choices were sold out so we had to settle for something else.

Great that they offer beef sausage and beef bacon. Usually find that halal establishments skimp and do turkey bacon and chicken sausage which is a very sad alternative.

All dishes presented very well.

Most impressed by the loaded toast, probably the most enjoyable meal we ordered and best value for money.

The cheesy split burgers and beef tagine were fine, but quite pricey for what they were. I feel that the meat actually could have benefitted from having a bit more fat content, since the meat in both was quite tough.

Coffees and cakes were much more enjoyable, though still pricey. I’d say the caramel(?) milk cake was the highlight.

Bubble tea was more ice than tea. Would have to ask for less ice next time.

We probably would visit again but would be a bit more careful about what we order.

Ye Olde Swan

Nice enough place to eat - food was ok although the roast dinner veg was predominantly peas (yuck) and my sister's slow cooked beef was chewy. The pudding of white choc and pistachio tart was dull tasting. My husband liked his slow cooked beef and the kids enjoyed their dinner. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they even brought my daughter a couple of white choc straws to have. It was easy to find and useful halfway meeting point for us. Would potentially return.

We were served by a waitress named Mayya who was absolutely lovely, made sure we were comfortable and checked back with us a couple of times with such patience whilst we were deciding our food order, giving recommendations on cocktails and food! It’s Seriously Good chicken and the customer services provided by Mark and Daniel and literally Soloman makes the place they call slims chicken in Milton Keynes!!! Very helpful, friendly and they go far and beyond for anyone having difficulty ordering and should be considered an asset in her work place. Goes far and beyond for everybody

Warm friendly atmosphere, food was comforting, classic and tidy. Harry was my server. He was very accommodating; knowledgeable about both the wine list and food (pairing). Over all as a fairly new local looking for a quick lunch was happy and will be a repeat customer :)

Great service from Myah on our bottomless brunch on Saturday! Super friendly and kept our drinks topped up all night even though we started a bit later. Food was good too, cowboy decorations a cute extra.

Excellent time here. Came for a friends birthday and got given a free sundae for her from Russell. The service was brilliant and the atmosphere was just outstanding. The food tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about coming here.

Had a lovely breakfast at Browns this morning. The level of service was particularly excellent. We were served by Adriano who was incredibly attentive and made sure we were looked after. Will most definitely be returning. The pianist also made for a relaxing atmosphere.

We spent Christmas Day at The Anchor. The staff were really friendly and it was a relaxed atmosphere. I am 8 months pregnant and recently had to change my pre-order last minute and they were really accommodating. The portion sizes were very generous on the mains and desserts. My husband was particularly impressed with the beef. I’ve given 4* for food as canapés could have been slightly bigger (we had plenty of food though) and the Ox Cheek croquette I had was a bit potato heavy. Looking forward to visiting for a roast again soon.

Muss and his boys, as aiways hit the spot. My 8 year old grandson had a great night with me my son and a very close friend on his first lads night curry.Not only was the food top notch.as always but he was treated as every other customer and invited to choose his meal his way.Because he could not pay his own bill there was some banter about washing up, and he got to meet the backroom boys. This emphesises the New raj douth. Not only will they give you great food and service, They will strive to enhance your night.

Anyone who thinks that ordering your coffee from Starbucks is an impersonal experience hasn't been served by the current fabulous team at the Drive Thru! I was served by Logan again today who was an absolute star, great service, really friendly & he never fails to make me laugh on my coffee run ! Happy Christmas

Was here thursday evening between around 5pm and 6pm as my partner stuck a £5 worth of diesel in his sisters car accidentally ? all i can say is how the male staff member went out of his way to make sure we were ok gave us a number for the problem to be sorted let us keep car where it was situated, let us have a coffee each to keep warm and let us charge our phones. What great customer service and a genuinely nice guy! Thank you ?

Good McDonald's located near the City Centre. Been going for years here but always check your order before you drive away. We had adjustments to our meal and on one of them they forgot the part NO mayo. Otherwise good portion sizes food was still warm when we got home and nicely salted French fries that were not soggy like some McDs.
Overall one if the best McDonald's however lost a star as mayo in the chicken burger so one of our eaters went hungry as they are allergic.

Called here for a take out coffee. Both Jake and Rachel gave excellent service,polite and friendly. The restaurant looked clean and tidy. We didn't have food as we were going for a walk around the lake

Amazing food and service, I somehow managed to choke on fresh air ( it is a skill in itself) and the staff bought me over a glass of water without being asked. Such a considerate thing to do.

What a treat!

My partner and I wanted to try some Nigerian food and this was a superb treat! We were first timers and therefore open to any recommendations. The meat platter we were recommended was just perfect for us. It had all of the staples and option to also choose additional sides (ie try more). Everything on this platter was just *chefs kisses*, and the spice was perfect (for us spice lovers).

This place truly is a delight and will definitely be visiting more; not only for the delicious food but also the exceptional service.

Gosia was our waitress. Very good service, very helpful and friendly. Seating in restaurant could do with refurbishing as tears in the seating and wood hanging down.

I recommend Lamb madras with coconut rice.
I've eaten in and delivery. The food is always hot, tasty and very reasonably priced.

We had a lovely afternoon at Flootes. I booked the afternoon tea for my mum's birthday and everything was wonderful. The food was delicious, and there was plenty of it, and it was very reasonably priced. The service was also great and they altered the sandwich choices to fit dietary requirements. Thank you very much.

Taipan

Excellent food and service! We had dim sum, fish, boiled chicken soup, beef fried Ho Fun (rice noodles made in house), rice bowl with meaty pork ribs and chicken feet, and a variety of desserts. All so delicious! We shall certainly return.

Napoli fish & chips

Tried this for the first time, we are trying to see if we can find our new go to chippy since moving to area.
The food is served just on the paper it is wrapped in (I guess more traditional) rather than in a tray which is more environmentally friendly.
Fish tasted good, but oil wasn’t drained very well so it was quite oily and together with steam when wrapped up made the batter quite soggy (I prefer crispy batter). The chips went the same way, but I love chips so it didn’t matter as much. The curry sauce was very runny, (it has a grape inside too) like they watered it down some how, I don’t think we will be getting the sauce again. The fish and chips definitely needed time to drain (as per other reviews) or cooked a little longer for them to be crispy. The staff were friendly. I think we would go back to this one.

Walked in. No queue. Ordered. Didn't pay because it was free. Got my drink. 10/10. The ice water was icey and watery. And the cups are very aesthetic. Would recommend :)

The food at this branch is fantastic, among the best I've had. However, if you go in the evenings, there's a noticeable odor of urine inside the restaurant, which affects the overall experience.

KFC Milton Keynes - The Stadium

Lovely as always, can't fault kfc. I don't think I've ever had a bad one yet staff very friendly but had a little language barrier and had trouble understanding apart from that was great ?

McDonald's... Usually busy here but to be expected as the Xscape has so many entertainment venues for kids including the Snozone, iFly and 4DX cinema within. The digital ordering screens seem to be temperamental and regularly don't accept payments but the front desk will happily take your order. The Xscape venues are card payments ONLY so be aware before you visit.

Parking: Plenty of parking in front or at the rear of the Xscape. Far more than you can wish for and I've never struggled to park at all.

Kid-friendliness: It's McDonald's, the place kid be derelict and the kids will still want to go!

Wheelchair accessibility: Large automatic doors at the entrances with a large opening into McDonalds. We regularly see motorised wheelchairs in McDonald's and around the Xscape so accessibility has been very well thought out.

Food is fresh and tasty. Great for collection but no attention to those who eat in. ( Only few do, but management should make sure the place is equipped with wet wipes and that forks and plates are offered). Where are the BBQ sachets?

Very impressed! Best McDonald's I've had in a long while. Food was fresh, no scimping on the salad, received a full portion of fries, again no scimping and it was all piping hot!
Nice play area for the grandchildren. Highly recommend this particular McDonald's restaurant!

If you've never been, quite simply the best place for live music. Had the absolute time off my life seeing Wrong Jovi. Excellent bands, excellent staff, can't get any better else where, can't wait to go back for more live gigs ???

Staff are always friendly and welcoming! The food and drink is decent and really good for money! The music and event nights are always fun and accommodate for all! Lovely local for us and the managers are always available to assist with any need we have! Recently held a bday party here and again no complaints everyone had a great time and staff were very good at accommodating individual needs! Definitely recommended!

Went with family and friends for dinner on a Saturday night and was blown away.
Food was great and the service was exceptional. I wish I had got everyone’s names (we were table 9 on Saturday 26th of October) but everyone involved was super friendly and super helpful. A legit credit to the pub and its team.

The Camphill Cafe

Amazing vegetarian café / restaurant run by the friendly Camphill community with Chrysalis Theatre. They make great food with love.

Their baked vegan Rosemary Focaccia bread is delicious and not excessively soaking in virgin olive oil.

The café employs and shows compassion to neurodiverse staff, who may have learning difficulties and mental health challenges. The differently-abled café staff are friendly, kind and very helpful.

We need more places like this across the country / planet earth.

A must venue if you're visiting Milton Keynes.

Bogota Coffee Company

Very good cafeteria with its own personality and friendly service. It is worth it both to work for a while on the laptop and listen to the music they play (tasteful and varied) and to make a quick coffee. From the aesthetics: special mention to the painting of the dog next to the bathroom, the wooden paneling or the books they have on a shelf, to mention some of the charms of the place.
