I often pop in here with friends for a drink when walking in the area and always get a friendly welcome. Today I popped in with family for some dinner and the welcome was warm and friendly, the food was delicious with generous portions and the service was also top notch. I cannot recommend this pub more highly.

In the middle of nowhere. Brilliant. Good beers on draught. More importantly, cold beers for those hot days. Slight mix-up with food, but sorted out. Brilliant staff.

Yesterday viewpoint cafe was closing as it wasn't busy but on other times its been very busy....long queues slow service and a bit pricey especially if you have children

I visited Whipsnade Zoo recently and had a wonderful time. The variety of animals was impressive, and I particularly enjoyed observing them. While I missed seeing the lions, I learned that they tend to sleep for most of the day. It's definitely a family-friendly destination, and I can imagine the train ride around the zoo would have added to the experience. Overall, a great place to visit and connect with wildlife.Parking: Really huge parking space and free
