Wonderful restaurant. Excellent food. Great service and a beautiful ambience. The team clearly know good service can cost very little but is worth a great deal. Food was lovely. The beer selection from Belgium is worth a trip on its own. The wine collection is a great trip around the world.

Miller & Carter Beaconsfield

Scallop starter underwhelming, over cooked and the apple and bacon were predominant flavours.
Grilled prawns lovely.
Steak was lovely but please do not serve with a serrated knife which tears the meat.
Generous sides.
Lobstertail overcooked andcdry.
Pleasant, friendly, unobtrusive but efficient service.

Browns Beaconsfield

Natalie and the kitchen staff at Brown’s really helped us out after a bad breakfast experience at Brasserie Blanc nearby. Food was decent and service was very friendly and swift. Nice loose leaf teapot too.

Royal Saracens Head

The presentation and quality of the food is exceptional. The service is friendly, welcoming and attentive. The decor and atmosphere is classy and relaxing. A real must visit we had a wonderful lunch here and will definitely visit again.

The Jolly Cricketers

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in the garden marquees. Everything was perfect, Chris and Amanda went out of their way to ensure the evening ran smoothly. JJ and Christian ran the bar brilliantly and Matt and his team did us proud with delicious food. The feedback from our guests was glowing. Local friends helped with decor and cake which were fabulous

Lovely location, friendly service and delicious food beautifully presented. Accommodating to your preference of spice levels and so suitable for those wanting mild to spicy. First visit but many more to come!

This place is fantastic - take your partner, take your mates, take your grandmother’s urn - she wouldn’t want to miss one.

Bashir is one-of-a-kind bossman with a refreshing view of the world and witty insights (not to mention an exceptional singing voice). Shame he’s a United fan!!!

Leigh House

Chinese restaurant serving Beijing (Peking), Szechuan, and Cantonese cuisine. Will be celebrating 40 years this September (2024).

Inconspicuously located in Beaconsfield old town. Hasn’t got the usual large, flashy sign outside. In fact it would be easy to miss!

Similarly inside, it is not littered with cheap Chinese decorations. I’d go as far as saying it looks very high class.

The front of house staff are very attentive, regularly (but not annoyingly often) coming to check if everything is ok or if you need any more food or drinks.

We went there for the Sunday buffet on the August bank holiday weekend. Got there about 1pm. It wasn’t busy at all, but as we were eating a number of people turned up. Talking to the waitress, we were told that Sundays, and the whole weekend in general, is usually very busy.

So booking a table in advance is recommended. If you do it through the website you’ll be directed to a third party site. This site ‘warns’ you that that the Sunday buffet ends at 1.30pm. Ignore that! It’s not true. The buffet is served all day Sunday.

How it works, is that you’re offered a mixed platter of Peking ribs, spring rolls, deep fried vegetables, crispy seaweed, chicken satay skewers, and prawn toast according to the number of people at the table.

Then you get a “tick list” (see photo) where you mark which dishes you’d like to order. So it’s a kind of “a la carte buffet”. Once you’ve finished what you ordered, you can order more, including topping up your starter mixed platter. There’s no limit how much you can order- as long as you eat it all!

We chose Chicken with ginger and spring onion, Crispy chilli beef, Szechuan beef, and Twice cooked pork.

What’s our thoughts?

Definitely much better than your usual Chinese fast food from ‘down the road’.

Yet, perhaps not as good as I had expected.

From the mixed platter the giant spring rolls, seaweed, deep fried vegetables ,and the peking ribs were the best. The prawn toast didn’t really taste of prawns, the satay sauce didn’t even have a hint of peanut flavour.

From main courses: the Chicken with ginger and spring onion tasted of ordinary chicken soup. The Crispy chilli beef was crispy and tasty but I couldn’t tell if there actually was any beef! There was no “chewiness” in the crispy bites.

The Szechuan beef was tender and flavoursome, not overly spicy. I couldn’t see any Szechuan peppers…

The Twice cooked pork was also tender and tasty.

Dessert is also included - deep fried apple and banana with caramel drizzle and ice cream. Pretty bland, to be honest. Disappointing, as I was looking forward to it.

Overall, all the dishes had flavour but there was just that “little something” missing to make it stand out.

Also, typical of many buffet meals, it left us both rather thirsty. I think the idea is to make the dishes a bit saltier (or use MSG?) to make you order more drinks and eat less food = more pofit.

Shell

Great services if you need to collect from Heathrow and have come from the north gives you somewhere to park up, get some to eat, and it’s not gonna cost you an arm and leg to park and wait . Only 20 mins away from the airport.Reasonable price food , good variety for most . Clean and ample parking . Does get busy on the inroad at night with all the HGV’s . But nothing that should cause you any issues.

Starbucks Coffee

This is our most local starbucks and definitely our family favourite. Staff always helpful and polite, Jas the manager seems like she cares about her customers and always checks that your coffee is how you like it( my husband is fussy with his coffee!!) Queues generally move quickly and service is efficient.

China Diner

I took my wife here Wednesday as it was our 20th Wedding Anniversary, pre-booked beforehand. We were welcomed and shown to our seats, shortly after asked if we were ready to order drinks. The food was amazing and the staff were well dressed and attentive but not in your face. Only thing that could be improved would be background music and a couple of fortune cookies. Would we come back, definitely.

Achimi Japanese Beaconsfield

While I did not eat in the restaurant (takeaway), I thoroughly enjoyed the food from Achimi.
As a vegetarian, I found the options fantastic and I was incredibly pleased to have much to explore from the menu.
I ordered the Udon dish, the Yasai Gyoza and a selection of sushi dishes. Beautiful! Excellent quality, delicious and satisfying. Couldn't recommend this restaurant enough for those who love Japanese cuisine.
I cannot comment on the atmosphere of the restaurant, but definitely give this place a go if you're looking for some great food.

Vegetarian options: Varied and delicious options! As someone who adores sushi but has recently become vegetarian, Achimi did not disappoint and I was incredibly pleased to enjoy their selection.

Starbucks Coffee

The staff are always so lovely and helpful, very personable and remember those of us who come in regularly. I always find it clean, quick and well stocked.The only thing that stops me giving it 5 stars is that the air con seems to always be set to "blizzard cold" regardless of the weather. I like to work on my laptop here but always cut it short because of how cold it gets.

The Cape

Met up with my oldest friend. Something we rarely get to do so it was important to find a nice place to meet.
Glad I made a reservation as it is very popular.
Food was perfect, service was great and a nice ambience. Had a lovely time.
We recommend The Cape.

Nando's Beaconsfield Services

Sevice was awfull. I have to ask 5 store staffs to pack my spare food. Even the lady manager was not bothering to listen what i was calling. Food was good though, dont know it was fresh or not as i was super hungry from a long drive from Edinburgh. Ambiance was just okay. Clotted and drenched tissues on handwash sink and not a single staff member tried to remove or ckean it. I think nandos have to take action on the service what their staff is providing to their customers in return of high price they are paying for food.

The Swan

A lovely place to visit with a good vibe, if you’re not from this area then you’ll be totally shocked by the prices as they’re totally London prices!!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access straight off of the street, all on one level.

Subway

I popped it to grab my daughter some lunch and I witness the most wonderful act of kindness the man behind the counter gave a lady who clearly with in a bit of need a free sub. I asked if did he give her this for free he said yes she comes In regular sometimes with money and sometimes without he says he’s not too sure but he knows she has some disabilities & possibly money issues. I just wanted to praise this employee for such a wonderful act of kindness you never see anymore!

Tapori Curry Bar - Beaconsfield Motorway Services

First time visiting this motorway service option and was very impressed. The guy serving was super friendly and smiley. I had the lamb with pilau rice and curry sauce and it was delicious. Great value and service.

5 star service from the team at Smiles this evening. I put in an order for 95 portions of fish and chips at 1pm for an evening collection for a last minute function. Not only did the turn it around as promised, they did it on time and the food was piping hot. Fish was the best I’ve eaten in a long time and our clients couldn’t sing the praises of the food enough. Will be back!

The Hope & Champion - JD Wetherspoon

If you can see past the irony of having a Wetherspoon in a motorway services, then it is a really solid spoons, one of the best I've been to for a little while, even. Plenty of seating, clean facilities, often quiet, and quick service. There are some lovely booth seats upstairs that give a commanding view of the services below.
