Soooooooo gooooodddd. Their cake is sooo nice. I would recommend to try their pistachio, and victorian sponge cake. But today I tried their cupcake as well, and it was beautiful. ??

Biryanish

I was craving Indian food and that is when I found Biryanish! The food was very good. And the service was amazing. Wish and Fatima are really sweet. We ordered starters, biryani,haleem and naan. Everything is amazing!

I really enjoyed the food I had in the restaurant and it was really filling and not too expensive. I will definitely refer my friends and family to this restaurant

Monkey Lounge

Amazing service, food is always brilliant and the staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable, the girl behind the bar that served me, Tilly, was extremely friendly and good to have a laugh with.

Griffin

We came in for the Sunday roast (roast pork and mushroom wellington), was an good portion, loved the wellington and good value for money but the sides weren't to the same standard, oiley and unappetising.

Had mostly standard beers, but I enjoyed the local ale from renegade brewery.

Inside is rustic and quaint like you'd expect for pub and Seyna and the other chap who brought us the food were lovely and attentive

Staff seem very disinterested. Using their phones mostly, most of the things are out of stock which limits you from trying most of the items from the menu. A couple of staff smoking outside while people are still waiting for their food.

Slug & Lettuce - Friar Street Reading

Loved the evening, went for the bottomless brunch ! Great drinks the service also amazing and prompt took care of us really well, Georgia was absolutely amazing. The food was a bit mid a bit disappointed with what came but I can’t complain bout anything else ?

Bakery House

Bakery House is an absolute gem for anyone who loves authentic Lebanese and Arabic cuisine! We tried the grilled chicken, falafel, hummus, and chicken shawarma, and every dish was bursting with flavor. The grilled chicken was the standout—perfectly seasoned, tender, and incredibly flavorful. The falafel was crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the hummus was incredibly smooth and rich. The chicken shawarma was also fantastic, packed with spices and served in warm, fresh pita bread. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious Middle Eastern food!

The Plough

The Plough is a local pub with a nice atmosphere when we went. Quite a traditional pub with no airs and graces. We went as we saw an ad outside the pub saying open mic night every Sunday night. Although it said from 8pm it was nearer 9pm when the music started playing. We asked if they did food but they don't, but we were told we could bring something in, which we did

Grosvenor Casino

What a superb customer experience...

This venue is surely a jewel in the Grosvenor crown... Check out the photos for an incite of how lush and colourful this casino is... I love the new member free roulette to win a mystery prize... From a free meal / drink to a £50 free lucky number spin on the paid roulette table.

Many unique items here like the vending machine that allows you to buy perfumes, rare Pokémon cards and even gold / silver bars ?

This place is stunning and immaculately clean... Dean was excellent host during my visit however all the staff here are so friendly and welcoming and even has a mega tv in the bar for those big Sporting events.

The showbar has a stage areas and holds regular live music / comedy acts...

The staff here are so nice and friendly - after getting my drink, I went back a asked if I could get a bit more chocolate powder for it, and they insisted on remaking it for me, really lovely of them! :)

The Good Brothers

Went in with my wife and dog for Breakfast yesterday morning. Food was delicious and very plentiful. It was all freshly cooked. The setting was warm and friendly and the service fantastic. All the staff were welcoming and thanks go to Nev for giving us such a positive experience. We’ll definitely be back

The Green Man

Delicous , authentic Lebanese meze. Visited with a Lebanese friend and he was very impressed with the food. Chef and landlady were so friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely few hours in the garden drinking gin with lovely food - what more could you ask for?!

Cottage Inn

Went here for a lunch with family and friends. 11 of us in total so we pre-ordered and everything was great. Food all served together, piping hot and served with a smile. The added bonus was a car show going on which kept the fellas happy. Highly recommend.

Sweeney & Todd

Consistently serves AMAZING pies and food. So lovely too, called up about dietary restrictions (dairy free) and was able to accommodate. Wish they had dairy free custard or ice cream to go with their dessert. But I’m just so happy I got to try the pies. If you’re in Reading, go here!

Dietary restrictions: If you are allergic to dairy as I am, call ahead and they can put a pie on the side for you without the milk glaze!

Fidget & Bob

The sandwiches were nice after adding a lot of souce to them:)))) honestly it looks better than it taste but it doesn’t taste bad at all. The portions are a bit small.

Quattro Italian Restaurant

Lovely dinner for two at the Quattro Italian restaurant.
Warmly recommend their bufalo mozzarella starter and fungi tagliatelle pasta. Delicious!

The only thing I was missing was a candle on the tables. ;)

House of Flavours

One of the best Indian restaurants in Reading. The service is really great especially Blyton is amazing and really knows how to take care of each customer needs.

Bella Pizza & Kebab House

This place is fantastic. The main thing I buy here is pizza and it's always top quality. Fresh ingredients, cooked very well, and the customer service is excellent. The prices are very reasonable and they do a good delivery service too. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Bill's Reading Restaurant

Good food. Best banoffee sundae!!! The bourbon bbq burger has a little pipette to add your own bourbon...which is great if you don't actually want to add it and just want to bbq burger. Only complaint...is the coffee was not hot, but that could just be my personal preference for liking hot coffee. We've been for brunch before too...and will go back again.

Turkish Grill

Amazing takeout experience at Turkish Grill! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend grabbing some of their authentic Turkish dishes for your next meal!

Tasty Greek Souvlaki

This is a very casual and friendly place to stop in for a delicious Greek quick meal. They have coffee too, but more importantly Greek beer (both Fix and Alpha, as well as Mythos). Been here twice, and each time it was staffed by ladies who are excellent at running the place (including the grill). Highly recommended in Reading. Pork souvlaki sticks alone are worth a visit.

Banh Mi QB

I reserved a table for my birthday party.
my friends came from different backgrounds. All of us was happy with the food . Staff was friendly and patient to explain about the food to my friends. such a lovely place. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The French Horn

Absolutely phenomenal!
We discovered the hotel by accident when we needed a room at last minute, only then did we discover it has a Michelin star restaurant.

Our first surprise was the fact that the included breakfast is room service by default. This alongside how lovely the rooms are really made the stay unforgettable.

We came back 2 months later for my partner's birthday meal and we're blown away, the food was fantastic, and the service could not be better!

We will be returning in the future, and have nothing but positive things to say about the experience!

Rooms: If you want a room with a view, the french horn is the place for you! Sonning is a stunning area and the hotel and surrounding area is just beautiful.

Walkability: If you like a hike, it's a must visit, the surrounding area is perfect and quiet, brilliant for a short walk or long hike.

Food and drinks: Absolute perfection, nothing more to add.

Noteworthy details: Everything was perfect, the staff even remembered us from a previous stay, and made sure that everything was exactly as we wanted.

MOMO 2 GO

One of my favourite little restaurants in Reading. I love the Aloo Nimki. Today's was a lot hotter than usual, and had me sweating up a storm, but I couldn't stop eating it. Always enjoy the Lamb and veg momos too, although all of them are delicious. The staff are always really friendly too. Go on, treat yourself to some dumplings.

Earley Cafe

It was my first visit to this cafe. I was happy to see the Food Hygiene Rating of 5 on the door, which is dated Sept 2024. I was greeted by a friendly staff member with a smile and it made me feel very welcome.

I ordered a Create Your Own Breakfast. I chose my 5 items from a good selection of items on their menu board. The lady then mentioned that it comes with a Tea or Coffee. As I don’t drink either Tea or Coffee, I asked whether I could have a Hot Chocolate instead. I was surprised to be told that I would have to pay £2.75 extra in full for a regular cup of Hot Chocolate, rather than the difference between the cost of a Tea/Coffee (£1.50) and the Hot Chocolate (£2.75), of which the difference would have been £1.25. (Which is what I am used to at other cafes I have visited).

As I felt that this was unfair and I wasn’t prepared to pay the £2.75 in full, I had my breakfast without a drink, which again wasn’t what I would have wanted, as I would have really appreciated a drink accompanyjng my Full English Breakfast.

I personally would have expected to pay an extra £1.00 or £1.50 maximum for the UPGRADE from a Tea/Coffee and the Hot Chocolate, as that would have been a better option as that is what other cafes in my local area would have done.

After my meal, she gave me a QR code to leave a review, so as it was my first visit and I visit Reading regularly, I thought I should be honest and leave a constructive review. I hope that they take this minor issue on board for my next visit.

Ultimately, I would be happy to eat here again as the food and service was great and it seems quite a popular place. 4 out of 5 from me, it would have been 5 out of 5, if it wasn’t for the pricing issue on the upgrade to the hot chocolate.

The Nag's Head

Bit wary at 1st, seemed like a "local pub for local people" at 1st glance but I was drawn by the beer listing. How wrong was i, looks like typical boozer but just sells incredible beer, well kept and good prices. Had a great night and enjoyed every last pint.

Water Tower

First time going to the water tower first impression was good nice friendly staff good options of drinks we found a nice quiet corner at the back looked menu lots to choose from my wife had the cheesy stack burger when she loved it was massive with fries onion rings
I had the XL mixed grill with sweetcorn as a side order it came with chicken pork sausage and a big bit of steak chips tomato,s and a BBQ sauce all nice and hot the only thing that was disappointing was the sweetcorn it tasted a bit strange on my first bite so didn't eat that table was clean music was great as it was a Halloween thing for the kids who were dancing to chippy music my with joined in with the kids dancing over all we would definitely be going again as we very much enjoyed our visit

Wee Waif

Another great Friday night with the lads, staff are always happy and friendly. Atmosphere in this pub beats any other pub in the area. Food always amazing would highly recommend.
